My Past Life as Saline

Ghost of Gumby

Hi, Friends : )
Here are more memories of my past life in the stone age, I am Saline

Europe 4,500 BC

I am Saline, daughter of char-di, born under the sign of new moon in new star. The heavenly sign has determined that I am moon priestess to my clan. We live in the cliffs and mountains above the village of the river people. ( near modern day Salzburg, Austria ) My clan lives up on the cliffs like our ancient ones did, but some of my people now live in the lowlands in well made tents.

It is time for the harvest, so I must partake of the harvest ceremony. I learn the dance and ritual, we twirl fire on fire sticks, and pour libations onto the ground. The day of the harvest bone woman chants from her cave across the valley, we can hear her piercing screams that echo from the cliffs. Father comes with his flint sickle, it is long and curved, affixed to a wood handle. We stand together on the ledge of the cliff, listening to bone woman, awaiting the sign from her that the harvest can begin.

I am alone with father. I never knew my mother, she died when I was very young. I must help father so we are able contributors to our clan. Your value is determined by what you can produce . We work in the harvest now, and this must be done for the continuance of the clan. A good harvest will make our clan strong.

Bone woman begins to let out long piercing wails. Suddenly she stops. It is time to go to the harvest.

We go. Father and I walk together up on the high path that runs along the cliff ledge. Below us is the lowlands forest. We see the tree tops from here, and on the other side of the valley are more steep mountain cliffs.

Father carries his sharpened flint sickle. It looks like this:

Father looks like this, and he often carries animal hides draped over his shoulder:

I look like this, a gray fur skirt, with three squirrel tails affixed to my deer skin top:

Selene looks like this girl in the painting her hair is blonde:

The path winds along the high cliffs, past several shallow caves where my people dwell. We pass a rugged area of immense boulders that block out our view. Then the trail descends towards the valley floor. We enter the dark, damp forest, where tall trees tower above us. We follow the path to a clearing, a part of the forest where we have felled the trees. There are long fields of grain here. The grain has turned a deep golden color. Now is the time for the harvest.

Father cuts the tall wheat low on the stalks. I gather the cut stalks and bundle them, placing each bundle in an upright position to dry in the wind. We will return in about a week to gather the bundles.

The harvest is abundant, it has been a good growing season. I help other women of my clan to thresh the grain on the barren rocks below our rock shelter. Then we must separate the wheat kernel from the hulls, and this takes time. We rub the husks in our hands, and the kernels are placed into earthen pots for storage. We store the flour up high on wooden platforms that are built inside the rock shelters.

When we have finished the harvest, there is a celebration. We have a feast of fire roasted meats and herbal drink. We are happy knowing that our granary is full and we will have enough food to last us through another cold winter.

Up high in the cliffs are the long, shallow rock shelters where many members of my clan live. We have dome-shaped huts made of sewn hides. The floors of our huts are paved with flat rocks. In the middle of the hut we have a fire pit. Sometimes I cook here, but other times I cook outside, under the rock shelter.

There are many huts under the rock shelter, and near the opening of the caves there are large fire pits. We make big fires here, where oftentimes we do communal cooking. Sometimes many families share the duties of cooking meals when there is meat to eat from a successful hunt.

We sit in a circle around the fire pit. We have our harvest feast. Father laughs, and he makes the growling sound of a bear. Everyone laughs, we are all happy, after the feast we will have drums and ritual dancing.

Does anyone else remember a past life that occured during the Stone Age? Please Share.

Oh yes, I forgot to include that at the top, I will reinsert that information. This is 4,500 BC, the Neolithic age in Europe. Thanks Shiftkitty : )

Cool. Have you done much study of that era? (Heh- I was also thinking the image you put up of your father... I'm guessing that's just for illustrative purposes. I imagine he'd be a lot rougher and maybe a tad, er, aromatic (to be nice... :D ).))

I have read your blog and hope the posts stay fairly short. I don't like reading a wall of text on screen. It took me three runs to read your first one as I read as far as I felt comfortable and stopped, coming back later to pick up where I left off.

Thanks Shiftkitty, my Saline writing won't be too long, mabey as long as about 2 chapters of a regular book. Yes, my stone age father would have been more rough and tumble, but that's not a bad pic of what he did really look like based on my flashback, light hair, more fair skin. By the Neolithic, I think European peoples had evolved the fairer features that make us unique.

I'm always interested in eye witness testimony about the ancient past.

If you can remember any more details I would like to hear them like what was the environment like, what animals were around, etc..

Rjmarzano, I can refer you to quite few articles that gives a detailed insight into that, if you're curious ;)

Hi GG :)

I'm curious about your technique. How do these memories come to you? How are you sure that these are memories and not just your imagination?

I'm sorry, if I come across harsh, but since it's not very common to remember in prose, the question is bound to be asked :)

Also I'm curious as to why you think you're remembering this life.

Details about what ? This past life Gumby is talking about ?

Ok I see Gumby has posted a link to his blog.

I have no technique. I do have flashbacks, but I have no technique that brings them on, they just happen when I am resting. I also have dreams about my past lives. This is not imagination, because imagination is a controlled thought process, whereas my flashbacks and dreams are random and not prompted by thoughts. I feel that I am recieving these flashbacks from beyond myself, possibly from my soul from its past actualization. If there is a technique, it would be putting the mind in a state of total relaxation, where all becomes a blank, so that the brain is receptive to these images from another time. It is easy for me to put these visualizations to prose once the connections are made relative to time and location. These are past life memories, and like any other memories of the past, they will flow if we allow them to flow.

Rjmarzano, I was referring to your comment that you would like an eye witness account of the environment and the animals in Neoltihic Austria. I know of archaeological articles that describes this very accurate through pollen analysis and archaeo-zoology.

Hi GG :D

Thanks for answering my question. However I'm still curious about the meaning of your memories. If we assume that the whole reincarnation-thing is about learning - what do you think you have learnt from that life? How do you feel about this life? What is the point of 'Mar'? Is it someone you recognize from your current life?

Also, I have a question concerning the salt. I'm curious how Saline knows this is a trading object? Who are they trading with? What are they getting in return? How is the trade organized? :)

I will tell about the salt in my next Saline post, there is a connection with the salt and trade. I can hopefully give more insight into the organization of trade, I know only a little based on my visions of the River People. Saline knows that salt is a trading item because it is knowledge passed down from previous generations.

I have gifts from this past life as Saline, my gifts of this life are the result of Saline, I believe. I think that my ability to see beyond my own life to these other past lives comes to me from Saline. Saline is my beginning, a guiding force in my life. I believe that the soul, once liberated from the body, can time travel. This is why Saline appears to me, we are linked through the ages of time.

I am not sure of your question on Mar. But I am sure that I have encounted him somewhere, perhaps in my PL as Katie.

I would suppose you need more time to research your "memories" on Google, right?

No. The last thing that I Googled this morning, AFTER I had made my most recent post in my Saline blog, was to learn of lakes around Salzburg. I only wanted to cross reference my statement "where we would sit and observe the forest, and watch birds gliding across a lake below." I was curious to see if there were actually lakes in Neolithic times near Salzburg, and this is what I found out http://www.visit-salzburg.net/surroundings/seeham.htm

That there were lakes around Salzburg in the Neolithic, but I did not know this before I had written this into my memoirs of Saline. I have only cross-referenced my PL memories with Google, I have not used Google as a source for my memories. I have already explained that the source of my PL memories is beyond me and beyond Google, from my inner being. Dreams and flashbacks are my source of primary information. Now let's move on

David, I've had too much experience with people making claims to just accept everything at face value. Your writing is good and your stories are very interesting; but I personally have to suspend belief, when someone claims to have such detailed memories of a past life -- especially when the best documented cases are themselves sketchy and only acceptable upon validation by corroborative sources.

One might also question why it's necessary to boldface everything?

Why would that be questionable? I boldface text because I know that many people, like me, have astigmatism and are happy to have bold text to make it easier to read.

Many of the well documented cases of past lives involving children are very detailed, down to the names of parents and siblings. The extent of detail, in my view, does not in any way invalidate a past life account. If we only remember a fraction of the experiences of a past life, that would account for several pages of text. Most people don't remember that much, I grant you, but I am an exception.

Hiya :D

For me the thing is not so much details, although it does come across more as story-telling than past life remembering. We have moved from time around harvest, the harvest itself, beyond the harvest. If your flow is really like this, I must say that I'm impressed.

However, I'm missing the emotional content, the reflection. All I read is a story about how you harvest, walk in the woods, do a ritual dance, eat breakfast etc. etc.

I keep thinking: why are you remembering these things?

For me past life memories are tied to emotions. I remember a certain situation, because I remember the emotion I felt in that situation. The situation itself can be quite irrelevant (Like you I have many memories of everyday things), but the emotion is important. That is the trigger. That is what you are supposed to learn from, take with you or deal with and get over.

Which is why reading your blog leaves me with a feeling of reading a...well, blog, however talented your writing is.

I have some more random questions:

- How does it affect you that you are female in that life?

- How do you feel when you experience the rituals? Happy?

- Scared? A nagging doubt whether it's all humbug?

- What is your relationship to your father?

- Do you see patterns that repeat from this life to your current?

Also, I'm curious how you found out that this life took place in Austria?

:)

I feel somewhat slighted here :) , because my Past Life (PL) memories of the two PL's that I can really remember (through dreams and brief bursts of daydreams) are NOWHERE near as detailed and precise as some other people's are.

Rather makes me think of a grainy, out-of-focus, off color 8mm home movie compared to a 70mm, razor sharp, Technicolor movie in the local theater! :)

Although some cases (not many) are somewhat detailed, not one credible case has ever been as detailed as yours. Of course, I accept that anything is possible in the spiritual department. However, I have encountered your argument too many times in life to accept such claims off the bat. I have encountered historical interpreters, who've said, "Well, they could have done that!". And, I've known men who falsly claimed to be war Veterans and POW's. I've also known academics who've made certain false claims, and were only caught because they tripped up on some minor point.

In the case of Spiritualism and Reincarnation the field is awash with B.S., because, who can prove otherwise; which is the reason this Forum has such strict rules about posting. So, when someone comes along making unusual claims and writing book chapters on what amount to be historical and archaeological facts, one should be aware that these will be read with very discerning eyes. Many of the members of this Forum are trained Historians, Archaeologists, Medical Professionals, Psychologists and Scientists. Even more are well-versed in all the credible literature that is available. So, keep in mind that what you write is going to be very closely analyzed.

I should say that your writing is quite good, and you write some interesting stories. It is quite acceptable, when writing a novel, to weave historical fact with fiction and two of my favorite examples of such authors are Allan Eckert and Kenneth Roberts. But, when claiming such detail to be actual past-life memories, you should be ready to accept a great deal of criticism and you'll have to face numerous challenges. The credibility of this Forum is at stake, and many of our readers are what one might call "concerned skeptics".

As regards the bold-facing; it is not objectionable. But, it can be suggestive of attention seeking when there are other issues at hand. I also have astigmatism, but my bi-focals do quite a nice job and I'm quite able to read normal fonts.

I am quite aware of this Nightrain1. I welcome the discerning eyes and "concerned skeptics". I do not feel that the credibility of this Forum is at stake due to my posts here, but if there is a consensus on this issue I will withdraw from this Forum. Yes you have much knowledge Nightrain, but the universe does not revolve around your mindset. To say that something cannot be this or cannot be that is also limiting the possibilites, as much a priori knowledge has been toppled. We have an open forum here, so diverse views and novel experiences need be encouraged, not stifled.

Thanks for this fine observation Sunniva. I think that you are right, our past lives are tied in with emotions, sometimes very intense emotions. I do not feel emotion very often in my dreams or flashbacks like that. Most of the time I just see a place, like the cliffs, the forest, in the case of Katie, a bombed out city. When I saved the girl's live when she wanted to run back into the burning building, I felt the intense emotion of fear. But this was more of a survival instinct. I was thinking that I did express emotions there, also when I was Ginney, her crying and terror when her parents were killed, her having become mute after this during the stay in the orphanage. But you are right, with Saline there is not so much emotion, I think it is because I only see the images as an observer, and can't really always tap the emotions. Also, I tend to be very visual, in my learing in this life, and in my PL memories. The loving tender emotions that are more innate with women were repressed in earlier times, with Ginny especially, her trauma was so intense that she withdrew from reality and became a mute.

I determined that the place was Salzburg based on an extensive Google search, I was trying to narrow down the place that I saw in my vision. I knew it was somewhere in Europe because of my blonde hair. The region around Salzburg looked an exact match based on what I saw in my vision.

I am female in most of my past lives, I know this to be true. I accept that, it in no way challenges my masculine nature in this life, and it also explains much about me today, I am at home in the kitchen, I help manage the house, I get my feelings hurt easily. I have the sensitivity of a woman, I guess I am just a girlie man

The Rituals: I approach the rituals with a feeling of respect and awe for our beliefs, I feel excitement as I dance, I love the adoration of the people as they watch.

As Saline I am very close to my father, I feel I must please him, he is a strong man and he works hard not just for me but for the whole clan. He is not a good hunter but he makes up for that in other areas.

Try not to spend too much time researching and basically using your past lives as your ID in your current life. I think if we forcus too much on our past lives, it takes us off track to whatever we are suppose to do in the current.

Your posts are an interesting read but how did you manage to pick up such detailed information about your past lives? I would be over the moon if I knew what my name was in my PL.

Thanks Kristopher for your inquiries. I have based my past life accounts on the dreams and flashbacks that I've had over many years. The only research that I've done is to verify what I've already seen in these dreams and flashbacks. That research has confirmed that dream and flashback content. I have been looking through a window into the past, I feel that my past lives happened in some specific frame of time, so I know what I did and many of the details of the experiences. I realize that I know much more than 99% of other people, and this is exceptional stuff. But I must share. If there is something novel that is later verified by archeological and historical research, I would be estatic. There is no reason why I should not share my past experiences and it need not be based on what others think a past life experience must be or not be. Most PL memories are sketchy and that is fine, if there is more recall, that is even better.

Yes my past lives do somewhat emcompass my present ID, but if your past life comes to you, you must embrace it.
