I'm a 25-year-old white female. I had this dream when I was 8, and it stuck with me all these years and I welcome any thoughts.
The Dream:
I was an 11-year-old Native American girl. I had a 4-year old brother and sister (twins). Our father was the chief of our tribe and our mother died while giving birth to the twins. We lived in a teepee in a small tribal village of other teepees and near a river that was surrounded by steep cliffs.
One day my father decided to take me and the twins for a walk down the dirt path and just around the corner to a wooden bridge that overlooked the valley and the river below. The river was more of a stream, only about 12 inches deep at maximum. There was a waterfall behind us but it was fairly quiet (didn't make much noise as you'd expect for a strong flowing waterfall). I was leaning over the railing of the bridge and I flipped over it. I hit my head on the rocks in the stream and I couldn't move - like I was paralyzed. I could feel the water flowing around my head and I could sense I was bleeding from a head wound, but I didn't feel any pain whatsoever. I could hear my father shout my name (something like Kayah), he screamed my name and ran down some stone steps at the beginning of the bridge to a sand pit area at the stream and ran over to where I was laying. I could see the twins running back towards our tribal village which was just around the corner. We can't see the tribal area from the stream because there is a rocky cliff with some trees and shrubs (basically our village was at the top of that cliff).
The next thing I remember, about 5 Native American men in white lab-looking coats were surrounding me and one of them wanted to keep me conscious so he asked me to spell my name. I started spelling "K-A---Y--" and I lost consciousness from there. Then, like the blink of an eye, I was standing on the sand pit at the bottom of the stone stairs and I was looking at my body laying a few feet away in the stream. I was very confused. I wasn't aware that I had died. I was just standing there staring at myself laying in the bloody water and the guys around my body. Then I woke up.
Again, I dreamt this about 17 years ago and I still to this day cannot shake it from my mind. It felt so real. I tried searching for clues that this could be a true past life regression, but no luck. I would love to know your thoughts on this.
