I was working on the film "Salt" and an NYPD detective was our advisor. I was talking to some actors about my book "Flipside" which talks about past life events, and between life research. And the cop pulled me into a room and locked the door. "I think my house is possessed." I asked why.
He said "My daughter says she sees a ghost, and now she claims she died in Australia!" I asked if he'd ever been to Australia - he said "Never outside of NY." Ok, I said, first let's acknowledge you're talking to a guy on a movie set. Second, tell me about the ghost. Who is it?
He said "She claimed he dressed "just like you daddy." Like a cop." He thought about who it might be and pulled out a picture of his deceased partner. "that's him daddy, only he's younger now." The partner died two years before she was born. I explained that people can appear as they want to between lives - younger, in better shape - and then I said "Did you like this guy?" He said "I loved him." I said, "so it's not such a bad thing to have him keeping an eye on you. Obviously you're still connected." He agreed.
"So what about Australia?" I said "When kids are making up stories, the details are all over the place. But when they remember stuff they stay pretty consistent. I suggest take out of map of Australia and see what she says."
He came in the next day - same deal, took me into a room and locked the door. "You're not gonna believe this. I took out a map of Australia and she pointed to Perth and described her life there as a farmer and how her entire family had died in a drought. And then she burst into tears." I pointed out to the Detective that it was important for her to pass along that information without anyone telling her she was crazy or that it didn't happen.
The question is - we choose our lifetimes - why did the previous lifetime come into your child's awareness, because they chose that life and they chose this life, what do the two have in common?
I suggest to my friends with kids under 8 to ask their children in an offhanded way the following question when the time is right - "did you choose mommy and daddy or did we choose you?" The answers the kids give are usually very interesting.
My two cents.: angel
