Hi Everyone, I’m glad that I found, and joined, this forum yesterday.
I don’t know if what I’m about to write is definitely a past life experience but I’d be grateful for your suggestions!
Here we go …
I was 3 years old when I had my dream, that’s now 61 years ago, way back in 1957, and the memory of that dream has never left me.
At the time of my dream I lived with my parents and younger brother in Scotland.
In the dream I had a handgun in my right hand.
I raised the handgun to the side of my head, and pointed it into my right ear, and pulled the trigger.
Then everything went black.
No pain, no sound, I was just aware of total blackness all around me.
Then I awoke. I was no longer in my bed but in the living room with my parents. I was crying.
My mother reassured me that I had just been sleep walking.
However, I never told her about the dream.
That was apparently the only time during my childhood that I went 'sleep walking'.
I know that because a few years ago (in the 1990s, when I was in my 40s), and before she passed away, when we were talking about different events over the years, my mother reminded me about that time when I went sleep walking, and we had a laugh about it.
However, I still never told her about the dream – and I wish I had.
I’ve never had that dream again (that I’m aware of) but it had such a profound effect on me that it’s been with me and always remembered for over 60 years. I think I must just have been too scared to tell my parents, or anyone else.
It’s maybe unrelated, but during my adulthood I’ve had problems with my right ear, that can’t be diagnosed (been to ENT). The ear blocks up, sometimes there’s an ache, then it returns to normal without any need for any medications, and had me wondering if any connection, psychologically or otherwise, with the ‘shooting’!
So there we are, a very short dream, it’s never knowingly recurred, but the memory of it has never left me, could it be something to do with a past life or just a childhood nightmare?
