Possible for past lover to find you again?

Hey, all. I started this account primarily because of one question. So, in March of this year, my fiance accidentally died. Six months later, I met someone who is so strangely like him that it feels like I'm talking to him when I'm with this new person. They have the same interests exactly and very similar personalities. They have a similar glint in their eyes. It's actually unsettling--I've met people who had similar traits to my fiance, but never someone this similar. It's so uncanny it's left me shaken. I had an instant connection with this person. I guess I'm just wondering if it's possible to reincarnate back into the life of someone you love?

Welcome to the forum. It's possible, but in your case I would say it's too soon. The new person is most likely someone else you knew in a past life. Most of the people you know now, or will know, you have known before in other lives. This is called by some people as our "soul group".

I think Argonne is definitely right about this one. Most likely this person is part of your soul group and was sent to be in your life in this time of need. This person probably knew you in many lives before and you have shared many experiences with them.

Hi flowerpunk

Welcome to the forum.

I'm sad to hear about your fiance. I've recently lost a dear friend of mine, and not the first one either, and I know how it feels. However, I agree with the others, it's most unlikely that your new friend is an incarnation of your fiance. There are various possibilities to explain it though.

1. Scientific view: You are attracted to your new friend because he reminds you so strongly of your former beloved and you 'project' some of his traits. Projection, wish fulfillment and compensation are terms used in psychology to describe various ways that we 'fool ourselves' into seeing something in another person or situation that we want to see.

2. Non-scientific explanation: It's indeed possible that your new friend is part of your soul group, so has a similar 'vibe' about him, which is what drew you together. It's also possible that he may have been the brother (even twin) of your fiance in a previous life. Your fiance may even have 'directed' your new friend to find you, from the other side, so that you would be consoled, even a little, for his loss.

I have a dear friend, W, who I have not known from a past life as far as I know (but I suspect very possibly a future one). He reminds me really strongly of my father who I adored and died about 15 years ago. W is now nearly the same age as my father was when he died (far too young). He has a similar way about him, is always doing cryptic crosswords, and fixing things for people for instance. He has a similar droll, dry wit, certain shyness but gentleness about him, looks like him, laughs like him and sneezes like him. I've known him for 30 years, but never really got close to him until about 5 years ago. 5 years ago, on the 10th anniversary of his death, I made up my mind not to mourn for my father quite so much.

In my dreams I like to think that W and my dad are friends in the next world. They're really quite alike and I'm sure they'd get along like a house on fire. I'm also sure my father would be very glad that W keeps me company these days, laughs at sci-fi shows with me, knows me well enough to cheer me up if I feel a bit wobbly, or be shoulder to cry on without making too much of a fuss about it. I've got someone to do the crossword with again and W has someone who's always happy to see him (and tell him when it's time to get a haircut or clean his shoes if he's getting a bit slovenly.) :)

I also believe it would be too soon for the same spirit to show up in a different body.

My experiences with the concept of the soul leads me to the opinion that each soul has 'two parts' or 'two spirits' attached to it. (See: Twin Souls)

This happened to me in 1981 when someone I loved dearly and deeply passed away. We had been close since 1974. After he passed away - he came to me in 'visions and dreams' and told me that I was 'destined' to meet and have a relationship with his twin. My friend died in February and in October - I ran into someone and it was an 'instant' friendship. They didn't look that much alike physically - but - inwardly and personality wise - there was such an uncanny similarity. If my friends 'spirit' hadn't came to me in 'visions and dreams' - I would have never thought of the 'twin' aspect. (I have come to learn that spirit twins don't always have to be opposite physical gender to one another - and in deed came be the same gender physically.)

This sounds like it may be a possibility in your case as well.

Sorry to hear of your loss.

Sincerely,

I don't think that the soul may be divided only on two parts - to have only one twin. From my memories may be one soul cloned on several parts, either in parallel or at different times, when need it.
