Possible past life?

I.L.

New Member
First off, I'd like to apologise if I posted this in the wrong place, or if this is a double post.

I am new here, as I have joined as a last resort for a possible explanation or idea of an "ongoing issue" I've been having the last week (going on two.)

I'm not good at explaining things, and this is something that is hard for me to explain. I'm sorry if this post seems like gibberish.
---

To start, I have been assigned a WWII project. (Three weeks ago, started it this week.) It can be of any broad topic.
I chose "planes" randomly. However, there is a specific kind of plane I slimmed down to- fighters.

So, I started researching... and something happened.
When I look(ed) at any fighter footage, pictures, I instantly start to cry. Even thinking about fighters makes me cry. One thought; or picture- and I start crying an ocean. This has been non-stop for this entire week. I haven't gone out in public the last few days because I know I will get a thought, and start crying.

The feeling I get is one that is very, very sad; but there is also a feeling of "emptiness." There is nothing that feels "negative."
It seems that only WWII fighters are a huge "emotional trigger" for me. The only other time I have got an emotional response was when I was visiting a WWII plane museum when I was fourteen. Most of the planes were bombers, and I did not get any response from anything until I came across several fighters. As soon as I saw them, I cried a river instantly. I felt the same emotion then as I do now, but not nearly close to this magnitude.

I'm not a very "emotional" person. I struggle with attachment/ have attachment issues to people and objects. This is why having an emotional response to something as simple as "planes" is really confusing to me. I can read sad stories and hear sad things, and not shed a tear or be overcome with emotions I can't handle. These planes change that completely.
--

I've only had one dream that I guess could be related.

I was flying in a plane, looking at controls/ cockpit.

That's all I remember, though.

--

I'm honestly sort of a skeptic, but like to keep an open mind. I like to try to be "reasonable-" but "reasonable" has many different definitions.

This is why I'm considering a possible past life, because this is seriously affecting me. I don't want to jump to conclusions, though.

Minds are powerful things, I suppose. Maybe I'm just being stupid and unreasonable.

I'm about to just say: "Forget this project, I can't handle this anymore."

Thoughts are appreciated,

Hi, welcome to the boards

Just your short description you posted

about you and airplane fighter you piloted

I say most certainly you had past life

in that time. In my mind it did not end well

piloting that plane.

Don't worry there are alot people on message board

that WW2 past lives you are not alone.

I had various emotional triggers as many have.

More answers will come

Sounds like a lot of trauma, I'd recomend doing a self regresion on either youtube; advertisment not intended, or a psychic and let the drama slowly unravel. The more you go through a self regresion the more vivid the experience

Welcome to the forums btw :)

Welcome to the forum. It sounds like you were a WWII fighter pilot who was killed. Do you have any idea what kind of plane it was? If you have an idea as to what kind of plane it will tell us what country it was. You can ask yourself for a dream or some kind of answer when going to sleep. If you would like to try doing a self-regression there are CD's, YouTube videos, etc. I also have some .mp3 files if you would like to try that. What kind of games did you like to play as a child? Do you have any phobias or strange habits? Those are often clues.

Hello I.L, welcome to the forum.

It could be possible that it's a past life, after all, strong emotional reactions seem to be connected with past lives.

What country that took part in WWII do you feel most drawn to? Any pilot in particular you are more interested in? In the dream that you had, did you look like yourself now or like a different person? You should make a drawing on how the cockpit looked like in your dream, so you can do further comparison later with different types of planes.

If you are new to reincarnation I would also like to recommend you this post that is pretty much a FAQ about the topic

I don´t think she/he should go to a psychic except he would like to be put a bunch of ideas in her/his mind with no real basis on reality. Also, going to a psychic won´t solve anything, the problems will still be there, he/she just needs to deal with it. So regression YES, psychic NO.

We don´t know that, we don´t know if I.L was killed. The only memory they have is a cockpit, nothing else. We don´t know if they were a pilot themselves, or were a pilot´s wife, or some sort of pilot instructor who lost a relative, we don´t know anything. If they want to be serious about it they should only work with the information they have and avoid conjectures that will just put false ideas on their mind.

I'm thinking that you didn't necessarily die as a pilot. You could have very strong nostalgia for your flying days in WWII, or feelings attached to a loved person who died. Did the cockpit dream come before, or after, you started your project? If it came before, it is reasonable to assume that you were the pilot.

My bad thanks for catching me there ^_^

Hey, no worries. I'm just a bit anti psychic since I think personal experiences are more revealing and rewarding. I also think that it's more likely that a psychic (if real and serious) would misinterpret our past life facts wrong than ourselves carefully analyzing the memories. Anyways, this would be for another topic, sorry for deviating.

Thanks for all of the replies so far, I really appreciate it.

I have no idea. It was a first person dream, and it was very short.

I've looked up a YouTube video, one by Brian Weiss. Tried it last night, but it's definitely going to take me awhile; I don't get relaxed easily. The most I could "see" were plane propellers- rather large ones.

I'd be interested in the .mp3 files. Thank you.

I played mostly with trains, cars, planes, toy soldiers/tanks. I also vaguely remember liking to mess around/play with radios.

As for phobias or strange habits, I'm not really sure.

I have an aversion to the ocean. I'm not afraid of the ocean, I just don't like it at all. I've had no bad experiences when I have visited the ocean, and am not afraid of sharks, jelly fish, etc. Would prefer to avoid it in general.

I also have an aversion to flying. Again, not afraid. Just tend to avoid it.

I lost a lot of memories from before the age of 11/12 or so, due to an ugly situation I was going through at the time. Thus, I only recall some things, and remember what other people have told me.

It's really hard to say what particular country. I feel "equal" to all sides (if that makes sense,) but if anything I'd have to say the U.K., Germany, or U.S., maybe Japan.

I've never read a lot about WWII, so I only know about a few pilots. I'm not sure if interest would be a right word for me, but rather admiration?

It was a first person dream, and I could not see myself. I'm terrible at drawing, but I'll certainly try.

Definitely a possibility, as I'm going for multiple perspectives. Whatever the connection, it's strong.

Dream came before I visited the WWII museum.

As you are first waking up in the morning, while still very drowsy, try asking for a PL dream, and falling asleep again. This might work best on a day when you don't have to jump up quickly for school or work. I got this idea from a book by Richard Webster, and it's a new technique for me. The author says it works best after a full night's rest. I tried it this morning, and got something about a contaminated water supply. As it could be PL related, I am going to try again. Since you say that you don't relax easily, this could help.

Hi, it definitely sounds like you have a past life that is connected to WWII era fighter planes! A sign of this can often be that emotional connection which can be very hard to explain.

I would suggest to start writing everything down right away and keeping a dream journal nightly. Trust me, you might be thankful for this later on if you want to recall something!

Also, try doing regressions weekly for practice. It might take your body and mind time to get used to them before you can get anything useful from it. Again, write everything down.

I second not going to a psychic. Only you know what your own memories are and you do not want someone telling you stuff that could be fake.

If you feel overwhelmed and need to take a break, do not worry, take a break and come back to it later!

Look forward to hearing more about you and having you here on the forum!

I've been working on/practising regressions for the last few days. No particular results yet, except recurring dates.

Interesting thing happened, though. I came across a song called "We'll meet again" and I somehow knew all of the lyrics. I don't know if it's a coincidence, but I found that really surprising since I have never heard the song before. I believe Vera Lynn sang the song, and it's from 1939.

That song has very haunting lyrics and melody, and pretty much epitomizes World War II. It's an interesting synchronicity that you heard it now, and knew the words. It could be a "nod" from the universe that memories will start coming. I hope so!

Hi IL, there are a number of ww2 pl's on the forum, me included so welcome.

I think pilots may have had the highest losses, the chances of surviving with each flight wasn't high. I think the deaths would have been very traumatic also. remebering could be a way of dealing with issues affecting this life.
