You have summed up the problem of proof, in a nutshell. There are some very convincing stories from children, and some of our members have build excellent bodies of evidence for their memories. Unfortunately, it's all anecdotal, and wouldn't stand up to the standards of scientific proof- not that I have any expertise in that. I agree that some essence of who we were carries over, from life to life. Do you remember the old experiment, where the researcher attempted to weigh a body the moment before, and the moment after death? The purpose was to determine the "weight" of the soul. Until the soul DNA test is devised, I am happy to accept anecdotal evidence, and the things my own instincts tell me as the truth.. The truths that other people see differ from mine. Okay! I think most of us are coming from a place of honesty, without fraudulent intent.
