Self Regression Flash

Pyro, that was rather brilliant to see something in "WC" other than water closet. Of course, the subconscious can put anything in a memory that it wants. We were all so focused on the obvious! By the way, I remember watching the battle, and the wounded man. I can't place the forest yet.
Pyro - just a technical note. When quoting make sure to keep the format codes at BOTH beginning and end. Otherwise it will not be highlighted in purple. You can delete anything within the codes, just don't delete either code.

Yes, I can't help thinking Pyro's hit on something. I've been thinking about William Quantrill all day. A friend and relative, when I mentioned this to them, both pointed out the strange resemblance he had to me. My friend said he had the same eyes and face structure as me. There are other things I learned about him that seem rather eerie - such as how he was a schoolteacher, but then quit. I trained as a schoolteacher for a couple of years and I taught at a variety of schools before realizing there were other things I wanted to pursue. Therefore, I quit the teaching. I know I do have that type of personality which is a teacher/striving for something I believe in/rebellious - I'm also quite fiery and have always felt 'comfortable' in battle, despite never actually having been in battle! The fact he also died at the age I am now is odd to me ... and what BriarRose said about how pictures of him have been popping up in her research all week. I'm also not sure if this is worth mentioning but when I was 14 I picked up a copy of 'Gone with the wind' and it became one of my favourite books of all time. I read it about once a year. I recall reading the battle scenes with absolute fascination - it wasn't Scarlett's romances that intrigued me, but the battle descriptions such as with General Lee and the like. The film 'Ride with the Devil' is also one of my all-time favourites. I've also always been very attracted/drawn to Southern accents. Do those last things mean anything or are they just interests? Now of course I cannot know for sure about this theory, but more and more things seem to be happening that I don't think can be easily dismissed ... I found this link on him that I read with interest: http://americanhistory.about.com/od/civilwarpeople/a/wm_quantrill.htm It mentions the teaching and how he then chose a much less legitimate career. There are aspects about this with resonate strangely with me ... not the murdering though! Then there's the controversy surrounding him - it says he was responsible for the Lawrence Massacre, which was said to be one of the worst events of the war. But it also says that just before the attack, a lot of the raiders' female relatives were killed and that it may also have been revenge for when a Federal office burned Confederate sympathizers. It seems like people can't decide if he was a mindless evil butcherer or a man fighting for his beliefs. However, one thing I know about myself is that I am not mindless or evil - in fact, I abhor both of those things. But I do know that I believe very strongly in my own convictions. I have no idea how I would behave in a war as I do not live in a war, so it's hard to say! How does that work anyway? Does the soul ever change or stay the same throughout lives?

I'm still a total amateur when it comes to self-regression so I'm hoping I'll be able to discover more and confirm if this theory is true.

Yes, Argonne - this is an excellent, helpful place!

I do think that you have passion as a person, Skye, and that must have been true of Quantrill. I think it's why he did the things that he did. I don't think he was innately a murderer, he was a partisan. I wonder myself how much of the personality continues from life to life. There are days when I "channel" Rose - it comes out in specific situations. I have had lives since Rose, and if it turns out that you were Quantrill, you probably have also. It was curious that I was finding pics of Quantrill all week. Maybe, it was about you, and not my brothers. By the way, to many people in the South, Quantrill's men remained heroes, even after they turned to bank robbery. My family idolized Jesse James. My grandfather knew an old farmer who had a twenty dollar gold piece that Jesse gave him for a night's food and shelter. They sang the old folk song about Bob Ford "laying poor Jesse in his grave." War is complicated, and history is written by the winners.

The best thing I can tell you sky is past lives are directly responcible for what you believe in this life. Just as I belive any kind of murder is wrong and will continue the cycle of reincarnation rather than ascending to a high level of the souls existence, directly stems from seeing men slaughter each other at ther battle of bullrun. We don't stay the same we learn from our expieriences. I do believe our interests and paths do stay the same however! Being a medic I still love human anatomy and helping people, solving problems very quickly seems to be a skill set I've brought to this life time through critical life saving procedures. At this point I also believe it is unnecessary to have to save someone's life from a battle because war should not exist on this planet. Un fortunatly this still happens. Dive into this theory and you might find yourself to be wiser than you can possibly imagine!!! ;-) I'm glad I could help in any way sky, let me know what you think.

Anyone else notice we've been all on this site at the same times for two days straight!! Saying aproxamitly the same things rose? I notice strange things like this too. Almost as if we have some sort of connection between the three of us. Small world eh? Telepathy mabey? ;-)

Oh, yes. I think there IS telepathy going on here. Rose and I are frequently on here at the same time. Several of us believe we have known each other before. I think there are probably several soul groups here. It's like we agreed on some subconscious or "higher-self" level to meet here in the forum. Thanks to the internet and this forum we can be scattered all over the world and still keep in touch. That's pretty amazing when you think about it.

It wasn't just the South. Bank and train robbers were considered heroes by many working class people. The robbers were like Robin Hood. They only took from the rich. Bonnie and Clyde were also treated like heroes. Sort of like the modern "Tea Party" movement. The Tea Party members are mainly upset that the rich bankers and wall streeters have mostly gotten bailed out, unlike when new laws were passed in the 1930's.

I see the connections, and am aware, argonne, and Pyro. I feel one with Skye, and some other forum members. Some of them "know", and some don't. I think people are drawn here to make those connections. This is an exciting time in history to be alive, both from the stand point of technology, and spiritual awakening.

I have to admit, though I have always had a fascination with the American Civil War, I'm not entirely educated on certain figures! For one thing, I know relatively little on Jesse James - if anything, every time he sprang to mind it was because those God-awful Pokemon villains were chanting his name on the TV! But I read up on him today and it seems to me that he was a genuine man with a kind heart - and that he just did what he felt was right at the time in order to fight for what he believed in! As seems the case with Quantrill - in fact, when I read about how Jesse James had been murdered in the back by a 'friend', it made me really angry. I also looked up some images of him and was so struck by one of them I put it as my FB profile pic.

I know nothing about Rose, please enlighten me!

I would also like to know (though it has already been hit upon, but I'd love more detail on it) the concept of physical similarities in past lives and current ones. Here are clearer pictures of Quantrill and me (my avatar is very small):

How do we do this? Is there a similarity or is there not? I would be very grateful for input!

Pyro, it's interesting you say about past lives being directly responsible for what we believe in this life. For one thing, I have always been a strong advocate of killing when necessary. I believe that if a murder is based on doing what's right (or what I believe is right) then it is a justified murder. I definitely feel that killing somebody isn't wrong if it's to prevent something evil occurring. I've always been like this and can never understand when people don't agree! Lol ... And I do kind of feel a connection with people on this forum. I'm not sure if it's because so many people here are terrific or if it's because there is a certain connection I have with them - but yes, something is there!

We've all expirienced different things in this life and different things in past lives. If there is something in someone's mind, or a way someone feels about something, there is truth behind it. I don't generally disagree with anyone because I've come to this realization. If you believe killing someone to stop a massive evil is the right thing, it's because you've expierienced something somewhere that has given you thought. I've expierienced things a different way, there is something I must tell you sky it is something that has been on the minds of adults/ especially parents. It's in the whole yin yang system I posted about on a different thread. Right and wrong. This line has been drawn for us as children, as adults we start seeing through the lies of this line. Most people still bound by this illusion of right and wrong would say one of two things. 1 I would die for my child. 2 I would kill for my child. This is comeing from someone who isn't bound by those rules I haven't seen one good reason to die for my child, "how would I ever be able to walk beside her for the rest of her life"! Nor good reason to kill for her to make her life continue "how could the person trying to take me or my daughters life ever learn of their own self awareness" this ones a little difficult to understand, so I'll give an example. Cops when they are trained to defuse a situation, the policy is two shots to the center mass, practically garanteeing death. They are all trained this way. I already know how accurate people can be in non stressfully situations, but even more important I know how accurate we can be if we are trained to be even more pecise in high stress situations. Every situation can be defused without the loss of life if take the extra time to disarm the aggressor. One shot to each shoulder or arm would never be leathal. I can't tell you how much it deeply disappoints me every time I hear of cops takeing someone's life, because it was how they were "TRAINED". Even worse is when these cops have either so much fear or hatred in their hearts that they don't stop well after their initial two shots. As far as I'm concerned they shouldn't hold a gun if they value life so little. Even better would be a world completly free of weapons at all! Would we still find a way to kill each other. Probably for a while, but I believe we would more easily discover ways to prevent it from happening. The goodness in peoples hearts would easily prevail. We would more willingly help each other out, without the fear of each other any more!! It's not that I disagree with you sky, everyone has expierienced things in a different way. I use to think the same way, in this lifetime! When I started thinking about how sacred life truly is, how god put this planet here for all of us, not just the ones who think they are righteous. It opened your mind to new possabilities. I can look at things the way you have and know there is truth behind it! It's when we dive just a little deeper, find stronger truths, more powerfull truths, more enlightening truths, we could get to a point where killing, or dieing for our beliefs, isn't even in our list to consider doing. The only reason I wrote this is to provoke deep internal thought. I will not argue with anyone on this matter everyone is different, and we are all the same. I would not argue with myself, why argue with someone who is like minded? :)

No doubt, Pyro, what you are saying is what many people truly hope for - but in a world such as this, impossible to implement perhaps? Reality is stone-cold and sometimes we must be with it, even though it may impact on our souls. I have always believed that I would happily kill someone who did something that was plainly evil - like murder my family or hurt an innocent. And I feel I'll always stand by that belief. But people who kill mindlessly based on a 'rule of the system' like what you said about those police? They're clearly working for one side, and not the side I respect or think much of.

From your avatar, (gorgeous, by the way) there seems to be a resemblance in the shape of your lips. The nose/eye configuration is quite similar. A good numerologist/astrologer could look at the birth dates, and be able to tell. My "gut" feeling is that it is possible. From the little I know, the resemblance wouldn't be in body build or coloring, but facial configuration.
