I think if both parent and child had past life memories, or two siblings both had memories, they would probably remember lives they have shared. Particularily if they recalled past lives,
and noticed odd dynamics in their current relationship. I think the dynamics of the relationship past and/or present is very important to the recall of shared lives in most cases.
I have mentioned reliving two deaths in childbirth. I related one of them here. The second one I remembered really helped me understand the birth of my oldest in this life. In that life I died along with the child I was delivering, in this life that child is my oldest (he was my second born in that life) and we both would have died in the same manner had it not been for modern technology. I have been careful not to mention this to anyone that might speak of it in front of my son, because if he one day remembers, I don't want his memories tainted with what he might hear of mine.
If we start looking at the relationship dynamics it can sometimes be clear, without pl memories, that there was a relationship there before this life.
When I watch the bond between my two oldest children, it amazes me. I have been told that it is unusual to have two children, over 5 years apart in age, that are that close. The bond has been there since before the younger one's birth and neither of my older children have that same kind of bond with their younger brother. It seems clear to me that those two have been close long before entering this life.
I have mentioned here several years ago that my oldest child called my dad Pakka up until he was three, even though he had no trouble pronouncing the word Grampa. My youngest child will also sometimes call my dad Pakka and he also has been able to say Grampa before using the name Pakka. We have speculated that this came from a past life, but no memories have surfaced, to date, to confirm that to be the case. My middle child has never done that, but she will often call me Gramma, then correct herself to say Mama. I'm the only one that I have noticed her calling by the wrong name. I have yet to remember a life where I lived long enough to know my grandchildren, but I wouldn't be at all suprised if she was indeed my granddaughter in a previous life.
I could go on and on with my observations, but I think I've stated my case. Speculation on such things is one of my favorite hobbies.
