In a way, this topic has been covered before in a poll, but yet it hasn't been per se (or at least I think it hasn't, if it has, my humble apologies) but even after an Advanced Search, I couldn't find a poll worded the way I wanted it worded, does that make any sense at all? :)

So my question is: Knowing you as you know yourself now, would you SWITCH to the OPPOSITE gender when you are reincarnated in your NEXT life? (the CAPITAL letters are meant to emphasize my key points in the question).

Now granted, there are other factors that come in to play, for instance, your situations in this lifetime may change, to cause you to change your mind, your Spirit Guides may convince you to switch, or some higher power may make the switch for you, I'm just guessing at these factors.

So really what I'm asking here is: if YOU had a choice in the gender switch, would you SWITCH?

So the enclosed poll will ask, in effect, for the next lifetime:

Would YOU decide to switch from your current gender?
Would YOU decide to remain the same gender?
Would YOU let the "Higher Powers" decide for you? (Self Explanatory)
Would YOU let your "Weak Points" decide for you? (Self Explanatory)

Let me know if you need any clarifications and thanks for your input on this poll.

This is not meant to be any kind of slight toward the fairer sex, but I wouldn't ever want to come back as a female. Having seen the kind of discrimination and mistreatment so many girls and women have had to put up with, I can't imagine spending a second in their proverbial high heels. I can only envy the closeness that women have with children, and I champion the positive influence they can have on everyone. They have certainly been positive influences on my life. But, come back as one? Sorry, I'm just not built that way.

I tend to identify along the lines given by Nightrain1, perhaps it's my current lifetime, but I identify TOO much with being a male.

I abhor discrimination (of any kind), I saw it on the job, and it could be vicious or discrete, but with me, as long as they could DO the job and watch my back, I didn't care who they were, but saw them only as an individual.

My tolerance, patience and empathy in this lifetime may have been the result of having lived as a Female in Past Lives (PL) and as a result has made me some lifelong friends (of both sexes) in this lifetime.

So in summary, I opted (and voted) to remain a Male in my next lifetime (or at least try to!)

So don't be shy, make an anonymous vote and in about a month, we'll see how the voting is running!

I am a male in this life but all but two but the past lives that I have had memories of have been as a female. I've gotten along just fine in this life as a male, but I feel like my male persona is more forced. It doesn't come as naturally. Often times I feel like I'm still learning how to be a man. I honestly believe that I think more like a female than a male. It's funny how I have friends who complain about their wife, girlfriend, or women in general about things they don't understand. What they don't understand makes perfect sense to me. :D

There's no question that in this life I have enjoyed many perks that go along with being male, but I feel like I'm playing a role more than being the real me. When I think about possibly coming back a female in my next life I do consider the discrimination that would come along with it. I'm well aware of the drawbacks that come with being female. Being with other guys I've seen them do things and heard them say things about women that quite honestly have really bothered me. On the other hand, in past lives I've already lived through the worst of the worst, and things have never been better for women then they are right now.

I can make an argument both ways. I can think of a lot of good reasons to be male in my next life. On the other hand, I feel like if I am going to be true to myself I will be female again. The soul maybe genderless but I do believe that most indentify more with one gender over the other. I feel that I identify more with females.

I voted that I'd switch. It's not that I have anything against being female and I think my personality is pretty gender neutral anyways, so either is fine with me. It's just that I think I've caught a few glimpses of what I think is a future life and I would be male in that one. So I voted I switch to male because I think that choice was either already made or made for me.

Personally, I think it's easier to learn more about what you are "supposed to" learn (caring for others, being selfless, etc...) as a female, but I think it's probably "more fun" being male. As for me, I've got a strong nurturing side that I've never really been given much of a chance to explore (I believe the vast majority of my past lives have been male). I would let my "higher self" decide.

You didn't give a choice for those to whom it wouldn't matter, and I would take that pick. I have been both. Whatever is best for the lifetime I will be.

You're absolutely right, it was just before retiring for the night, but I knew I was forgetting something, sorry about the missing option.

Early in the morning it's lack of Coffee and at night it's lack of Sleep. :coffee: e!e

However in the middle, I manage to stay pretty sharp, except for a "Beauty" rest after lunch (rather wasted on me!)

Now personally as for myself, do think that I would come back as a female again if indeed it was left up to myself. There are several reasons for this. One is that it seems as many a time as it is the female that has more heart, is more nurturing and caring for others. There are also how many men I know which it seems it is soooo difficult for them just to smile it seems which so bewilders me. And other reasons which desire just to keep to myself. Again do think I would want to come back on the female side of things again if it was left up to myself. And one thing for sure, live a life again somehow close to the natural world and the planet we live on. Just my two cents worth.

I hear what you're saying kmatjhwy, but I disagree somewhat, and I blame the society that we live in for that. Statistically, there are far more men that would rather be female than vice-versa, why is this? Nightrain made a point in an earlier post that women suffer more discrimination and sexism, so why is it that more men than women would rather be the opposite sex? I'm not denying that women suffer more abuse, sexism and discrimination, but they do have more freedom to express their feelings and emotions. Unfortunately, we still live in a world where in many areas it is considered a 'weakness' for a man to show gentler, typically feminine traits. A girl tells her parents that she would rather be a boy, and it is totally acceptable, she can wear boys clothes, play with boys toys etc., but if a boy says that he would rather be a girl, he's most likely to be scolded, ridiculed, bullied, and be called a 'sissy'. In my opinion, that is an insult to the female gender, and a good indication that feelings of women being the 'inferior' sex are still rife.

I often wonder what kind of a world we'd be living in today if men were free to express themselves without feeling they have that stereotypical male role to live up to. I think a lot of men must feel like an emotional pressure cooker ready to burst sometimes. Fortunately, things have slowly changed in the last 30 years or so, and society has become more 'tolerant' of these issues.

I voted to switch to the opposite gender in my next life. I can relate to Truthseeker's reply, I can remember more female lives than male, and like him, I also feel as if I'm 'learning' how to be a male in this life. I certainly don't feel that freedom that I had as a female to be my true self in this life. I feel as if in this life i'm an actor playing a role, unlike previous female lives where I could just be me. :)

The 'higher powers' can decide for me. In all my previous past lives that I remember, I've been male. In this one, I'm finally female. I don't recall any past lives as a female until this life, but there may have been. For whatever reason, though, those aren't the ones that I recall.

In my past lives as a male, I've been involved in the military in all of them. Sometimes I think I reincarnated as a female in order to get a different perspective on that part of me. In the end, though, I think that whatever I come back as next is totally up to fate, random chance, or whatever it is, and that's fine.

All of you have a good point each way.

As a little girl I used to wish I was a boy, so I could play and not get told to go play with girls. But as I got older I got over it. I do feel boys have it easier in this life. They get paid more for jobs girls do evenly. Don't get ripped off by mechanics as much (hehee). But I would rather be a girl. I think what makes me lean towards being a girl again is being able to have kids. Even though I only have one kiddo. I would love to come back in another life and have more kids. Not a dozen, just more. This life just did not play out that way.

Girls rock!! (Boys are cute :D )

Rubber Band is shooting out straight ahead,

and the Girdle is riding up,

while Bubble-Gum is sticking to the inside rail,

and it's Cyrano, by a nose......

So now for the rest of the story (I mean the race!)

At one week the race stats are showing:

(as shown above in the chart also)

REMAIN leads the race at 42.86%

SWITCH is trailing close behind at 35.71%

HIGHER POWERS is third at 21.43%

and WEAKER POINTS is dead last at 0

So keep those votes coming, and we'll check the race again at 1 month,

and remember the poll is open indefinitely (I think?).

I just couldn't resist this,

I love watching Horse Racing,

no betting on it, I just watch it! ;)

I could certainly make a good case going either way. Their are positives and negatives for both. Honestly, whether or not I'd rather be male or female could change depending on when you ask me. I think that would be OK coming back as either one.

I lean towards female because I feel like deep down at my soul level my essence is female, or at least favors the feminine. I don't know why, and I don't know how to explain it, I just feel it.
