Soul Groups/Connections (merged)

Hi niamh,

There isn't a lot of information available, but if you type "soul families" into the internet search engines, it will give you a listing of various sites that all pretty much say the exact same thing. The numbers in the families/groups/clans/nations remain the same, as do the descriptions of our "feeling" or "vibration" for each type of soul. It is interesting, and even though it seems to be more of a new age theory, it still resonates deeply with me. :D Having met several "soulmates" in this life, I would tend to agree with their theory, but am always open to other ideas ;)

One of the ideas on soul groups that I remember reading about comes from Michael Newton's case studies, and in those, I don't believe there is a fixed number in a soul group. It can be large or small, but I seem to remember something about an average of 5 to 15 members? I'm too lazy to pull out the book and look it up... LOL

I kind of believe what Ailish believes....but I don't know exactly how much order there is... Like, I guess it would be hard for me to think that every soul group had x number of souls, etc. I do believe that soul groups can "share" members, I guess. I haven't read much about soul groups, I guess I should look into it! I do believe I know a lot of people from my soul group, though.

And I'm curious, does anyone here believe that there is no such thing as a soul group?
 
I would agree with Lib, that there isn't a fixed number for a soul group.

Although it's human nature to want mysteries clarified with rules and regulations, and names, soul groups don't necessarily work that way. Just like the whole question of how many years are there between incarnations. Many have stated rather definitively that there are X number of years between incarnations, yet those years don't always agree nor are they necessarily borne out in actuality.

I would take this one step further, though. It's also human nature to be very tribal, and the structure described in the post above is extremely tribal in nature.

There is one soul group.

We are all part of it.

Some souls we've known before, some we have a strong affinity with and choose to incarnate repeatedly with, others we never see again. We can also communicate with discarnate souls (i.e. "spirit guides") that we may have known before.

Actually, I don't.

I did locate and read the rest of the article that you quoted from and a few other sources that discuss the topic.

I'm not entirely sure what they mean by "vibrational levels". To me (and this may be as I'm involved in an industry that uses vibration caused by intentionally imbalanced motors) vibration is a physical phenomenon, and a soul isn't physical, so how can a soul vibrate at all? Physical vibration is something that can be measured, but how do you measure non-physical vibration?
 
About vibrations of the soul,
I believe that we have unique vibrations, simply because I've felt the "vibration." I believe that a lot of people feel this when they are about to project astrally. I may be wrong, this vibration may be something completely different--But when I do project, it's like I can...raise...for lack of a better work, my vibrational level--hard to understand for someone who has never been aware when they are projecting, I know.

In a way, I believe this is how the aura is projected--why people see it in colors, I don't know, I usually just see auras as kind of white-energy, with spots of color now and then. I know for a fact that colors of the aura can change when you are, say, communicating, or meditating, or a number of different things, and the only way I can comprehend this is that there is some kind of inner (soul) vibration.

I do believe we're all part of one soul group, and maybe we can move to different smaller groups throughout different times of our existance.
 
Very interesting discussion everyone! Littlemoon - I agree it's hard to describe soul vibration, but I believe you're right, it is energy ;) For me, I can feel the vibration (usually in my solar plexus) from other people. With the ones I am closest to, it feels like there is a constant flow of energy between us that makes my body tingle. With the people I believe are members of my soul family, another rather odd thing happens...when we are physically near to each other, I see a lot of Light. ;) Just my personal experience :D Anyone else have something to share?

It definitely happens. In my soul group, a husband and wife returned as mother and daughter. A husband and wife used to be two men who worked together, one as subordinate to the other. A pair who were sisters in one life, were on opposite sides of a conflict in another life, and are now part of the same little group again. It's made for some interesting changes in the group's dynamic.

Apart from the spouses returning as parent and child, the rest of us scattered, but have gradually have been reconnecting and reuniting.
 
Creating New Soul Connections

I've been thinking about the fact that everyone (myself included) wants to find their soulmate. Is it possible to have a fulfilled life if you marry someone that you do not have a past life connection to? The reason a person is your soulmate is because you were close to them on the other side, and you are so strongly connected to them because you've formed this connection by spending many lives together. Can you start new soul relationships at any time? Could you meet someone right now you have never spent a life with and could they become your soulmate, and maybe spend many lives with you after this one?

I think it's entirely possible to meet souls that we haven't been with in other lifetimes and forge a connection with them. If you marry someone in this life that you haven't had a previous connection with, I think the experience helps your soul expand and grow ;)

I've mentioned my views on soulmates in the romantic sense in other threads. I do not believe that "soulmate" means one soul for everyone. I think that your soulmate can be anyone that you have a "magical" connection with...sister, cousin, grandparent, friend, etc.

My view on soulmates is the same as yours, I definitely believe we all have more than one soulmate, and that our relationships with them are not only romantic. But what I meant was that, for the most part, people want to marry a soulmate, and not someone they've never had a life with before. I agree with you that it could be a good experience and chance for your soul to grow. I just wonder how common it is. Then I wonder, is it even possible - because when I start thinking about it, maybe we all know every soul from the otherside - some closer than others, but maybe we've been acquainted with all of them. I guess it's just a really complicated concept, I start to confuse myself the more I think about it lol.

I think you've answered your own questions. If it was not possible to create new soul relationships, find new people to be your soul mates in future lives, then where would soul mates come from?

One proviso, not everyone wants to find a romantic partner they've been partnered with in past lives. I work with a former husband of mine, and one thing that finding him has taught me is that love is not enough when it comes to marriage. It didn't work out then, and it wouldn't work out now even if we were both available and not so far apart in age-for the same reasons.

Is there sometimes a connection between relatives that aren't blood related such as step but sharing a lot of similar traits?


My young step-niece's favorite game to play is that we're 'sisters', she often tells me she wishes I were her older sister. We have similar traits such as being sociable, popular and into typical girl things but we both test out as advanced in learning, and knows a lot of things about certain periods of time or religions that were almost impossible for her to know when she was younger. Our childhoods kind of mirror each others in the way that we were both shuffled back and forth with busy schedules etc. Even other relatives have mentioned I seem to understand her pretty well and don't have a hard time getting her to listen at all. A lot of things she likes to study/read are similar to things I liked as a child. I swear she had a past life as a catholic priest or something.
 
Yes, we often have soul connections with people that are not our biological relatives in this lifetime. We often attract people that are familiar as souls to us, and it's easy to be with them. :)

Can I ask what makes you believe she has been a Catholic priest once?
