Soul reaction

This is a question for anyone who has had an experience on finding their past life photo.

How did you react to your portrait? Did you find yourself by accident? Was it in a book or online? I am curious about this because I am on the search for a friend and myself. This sort of experience only happened once before. The reaction was so strong that my body kept shaking. What was strange about this experience is that it happened just a few seconds after I figured out that I was a 19th century writer.

But I ignored this for quite sometime until I had a dream about this person the other night. I went through my head thinking that it couldn't be this writer or that writer. I knew who he was as soon he appeared.

Even the era and place looked right to me.

There are a few signs that came to me shortly after but I'm still worried that people wont believe me especially my medium friends. The only people who knows about this is a friend who's Edgar Allan Poe reincarnated, which is a sign in itself. This 19th century writer was friends with him at one point and we became friends online in this life.

I apologize for not bringing this up in my other post. I'm still trying to get use to this group of people. :) All of you seem very nice and open minded. If you would like to chat feel free to send me your email.

For me, my reaction was very... anticlimactic (I'm not sure if that's the right word, but I think so) upon seeing a photo of my past life self. It felt the same as if I'd looked at a photo of my present life self. "Oh, that's me" was pretty much my only thought, and I didn't think much of it.

I think it might have shaken me more if I had found it by accident. By the time I went looking for a photo, I knew the name that I believed I had had in that past life and I was actively searching for a photograph. If I had just stumbled across it and recognized my past life self, I think it might have been much stronger of a reaction.

I found it by accident when i was little, and i didn`t know it was me at the time, i felt a bit shocked and unconfortable watching it, and i thought that person who turned out to be my pl self looked pretty retarded (lol), now i still feel a bit unconfortable and i don`t like to look at my eyes.

My sons were the first to spot a photo of a 19th century minister; and when I looked at it, I was startled that he was so familiar. I actually didn't think anything of it at first. That's the way I react to everything. Sort of slow and thoughtful, then shock happens much later. It was when I read about him and looked up some of his writing, that it sounded convincingly familiar. Slowly and gradually old dreams began to fit together, and new realizations appeared that have me fairly convinced. But, I can't accept anything without doubt. So, for me, the jury is still out.

Hi Gracie,

I just found out gradually, I wasn't really looking for a particular PL rather for some causes. I saw a picture of myself as a little fierce boy in a book. It didn't shock me at all, it gave me a joyful feeling. I thought oh yeah that's really me. Later on I saw a picture as a grown up with my then wife, that was far more shocking e!e

Nightrain, was that particular PL also situated in the same region as your later PL's?

Hi Overseas! I'm not sure if I understand your question. There was only one "possible" past life, after the one I was referring to; and, that one was situated 660 miles from the past life in question. However, I have lived and worked in both locations during this present life.

That isn't foolproof, however it's a strong indication. I am just being fascinated by how souls change regions (or not) and how they mostly provide us with a link to it in the actual life. But that's another thread ;) .

I'm intrigued by the same thing. I can understand how and why I was drawn back to this area. But, for the life of me, I can only guess that I might have been drawn to my birth city to take advantage of the opportunities afforded by the automotive industry there, where I worked as a technical illustrator.

Yeah there are often practical reasons for one's stay somewhere, that don't need a deeper reason. You sure been around

Hello Gracie.

My own reaction upon finding a photo of my past life self (the one that is now my avatar) was quite different than what I would of expected. I found myself giddy with laughter to the point of tears. I had many validations that I had the right man figured for my past life, but the photo is what truly "sealed the deal" for me so i was very relieved to have something "concrete".

Sincerely,

Laurasia

Hi Laurasia!

How did you discover that photograph? How did your path of discovery happen?

Gracie, now first of all, I have not come across a photo of myself from a former life but have had other experiences as to a former self. Now also this is the first post from me here in awhile.

Some years ago I took a trip onto the Northern Cheyenne Reservation in Southern Montana and when I did, I felt instantly so much that I was right back 'Home' again even though in this present life, I had not been there before. Later on in this visit, I went to the local cemetery there at Lame Deer on the Northern Cheyenne Reservation. And when I went into and walked some around the cemetery, I just broke down and just cried, cried some more, and then cried even more profusely. And then I saw myself standing at a gravesite of a young Cheyenne girl that had died in 1955. I personally was born in 1956. I personally do not know if this was my past life self or some friend or former acquaintance. But I was very deeply moved needless to say bigtime. Am still seeking more validation if this was my former self.

And then just the other day, in some bookstore, I ran across a book with tons of old photos of the oldtimers on the reservation, their biographies, photos, their families, and what all. This young cheyenne girl which I stood at the gravesite of, is not in the book, for she was born right after

which these photos were done. And since then I have not been able put this book down. Maybe I need to make another trip to this reservation again. For whatever it is worth.

I was researching someone else's possible PL in the library under the American Revolutionary War section when a little voice in the back of my head said, "Jody, look up John Paul Jones." I did and I thought he looked nothing like me. That being said, there are literally dozens of depictions of Jones, and they don't resemble each other, either! I doubt many of them were drawn from life. However, one of them looks very much like me, another looks just how I pictured one of my past lives in a self-hypnosis regression, but the one that really got to me was a photograph of his corpse. I have to say, that really unnerved me, because I compared myself with it in the mirror (sticking out my teeth and everything) and ... you can imagine that was kind of a transcendent moment. Here I am, a living person, holding up a picture of a 100 year-old corpse and the resemblance was, to me, unmistakable. Just like the picture itself, it was both horrible and amazing at the same time ...

Hi Laurasia!

Hi Nighttrain.

Well I was lucky enough to find an SS researcher who had access to the photograph of Hans. My girlfriend & I had both had recollections of what Hans looked like long before I actually found the photo - which we deliberately did not discuss with each other just in case I was ever lucky enough to find a photo of him. I knew that the man in the photo was the correct Hans as soon as I saw him, as did my girlfriend when I later showed the photograph to her. :D

Sincerely,

Laurasia

There is a lot of background to my story and the many "coincidences" (or fate I might say), but I feel it would make this post too long. So to make it short and sweet, I think I may have accidentally stumbled upon my past self on the internet while researching a particular topic last night. A series of strange circumstances led me to this point.

My experience was as follows:

When I saw the picture of the woman with her birthdate right underneath, I sensed an eery familiarity (I felt as if I were looking at myself), I cannot explain the sensation that I got. It was like a resonating/resounding vibration in my head to the point that i wanted to faint (but I did not), and my heart started to pound and eventually it was racing. I quickly closed out the page and I had to sit myself in a corner, because I could not look at the picture anymore. It was too much for me. (My roomate must have thought I was crazy). I even had trouble sleeping.

I am a strong believer in coincidences, but this takes the cake. She was born in XX90. I was born in XX90 (two different centuries). We have the same birthDate of the 13th, diff months. She was a graduate of XX13, and I will graduate XX13. I was born 7 years after her death...These coincidences have happened before, but this specific "coincidence" only heightened my curiosity...

This morning I saw a picture of someone with whom she associated with at the time, my head had this same sensation...I still haven't had the guts to look at her picture again, and I can't remember what she looks like anymore.

So in my experience it was scary, but completely accidental because I hadn't searched for a specific name or anything like that. I wasn't even looking for my "past-self". I was purely interested in a certain topic.....I still haven't fully contemplated this, but it's bugging me like crazy. I feel that's it was scary for me because I still haven't fully embraced the existence of past lives, and I tend to get uncomfortable talking about the "supernatural" or "paranormal". *sigh*

Soul Reaction -- Photographs

In photographs, how often were similar facial features noted between past and present lives?

Hi Raven! I think that you will grow more comfortable with your discovery as you continue to follow the Forum and participate in the many threads, some of which relate to your experience.

It is a difficult concept for most people to wrap their minds around. But, as you realize how common these clues are, and how common reincarnation really is; I think you'll become more and more comfortable with your connection to the photos and the life history of that other existence.

well

I have a photo of a client that discovered he was his uncle he never knew or saw pictures of (but died 20 yrs prior to his birth)

I can tell you MY REACTION when he sent it- I screamed and ran from my monitor (it was sent online). It wasn't even ME and I was shaking! He looks EXACTLY like the other person. This guy had never seen nor had been told much about the deceased.

I have the pic up as my avatar now, he gave me permission to use it.

Hi Meaculpa!

I've just replied to your other post regarding this individual, and have requested that others give it their attention. It is a most interesting and dramatic case, and you should be receiving more replies shortly.

By the way, Miaculpa; The comparison photographs are truly stunning and uncanny! You really have an interesting case here.

Thanks, Nightrain. As you know, I am seriously dumbfounded by this case. I feel like I opened a box expecting a puppy and a dragon popped out, breathing fire and all! His reaction to seeing his uncle's pic, he said was "Oh, it's me in a photo shopped pic wearing a military outfit" or something of that nature. Basically, it looks so much like him that he couldn't even imagine it NOT being him... I am going to put up another comparison photo... which I HOPE will be found on my profile page, using a different pic
