Spiritual names

Khandisi

Khandasi
I use the name "Khandisi" in this forum because I learned from my spirit guide during past-life/LBL sessions that Khandisi is my eternal spirit name. It is only at sites/forums such as these that I use this name. Actually, my name is Mark.

The funny thing is that I've never felt at home with the name "Mark", not as a child and not as an adult. What I don't know is whether it's because of my spirit name or because of my name in most recent past life. I always feel that Mark is not my name.

Has anyone else felt that their given name in this life is not yours or that you can't fully identify with it? Just curious.

names...

I can relate. I think a lot of people feel "uncomfortable" with their "given" names. I could never like being called "Kathy". It didn't match at all with me. Friends in school suggested "Andrea" but that didn't fit either. In adulthood I tried to be called "Katie" as my dad used to call me but for some reason it wouldn't take. Closest I've gotten is "Kat". But after getting advanced degree I succeeded in becoming "Kathleen". Still not a perfect fit but better than Kathy.

I once asked guidance for my "name" and heard or felt the name "Agantha" but that isn't a name!!! I've looked it up and found nothing. (sigh)

Oh well...............the point being, you are definitely not alone!

In every dream I've had where the being speaking to me is not someone I know from the waking world I am called "Eltern". I get a lot of strange words in my dreams, though. Some turn out to actually be something, but most are just a jumble of syllables.

Very interesting. My spirit name, Khandisi, does not seem to be a name either, though the spelling suggests Persian origins.

During my regression sessions, it was the only point at which my conscious mind seemed to interfere. It was as though my conscious mind was "trying it on for size", pronouncing it several times. Listening to the recording made during the sessions, it seems like my conscious mind was questioning it, almost as though asking, "Really?". I wasn't rejecting the name, but just reacting to the news that I had a spirit name. It would make sense that souls have names, but it wasn't something I had ever considered before.

In a regression and again during an akashic reading I was told my soul's name was "Assiliaus", and they spelled it for me and described some dots over the "s's" and some sort of a line over the "a's" but it was pronounced something like "aeshilaos" ("a" then "e" both long vowels and distinct from each other, "shil" with short "i", and "laos" with short "a" and long "o" vowels as in the country near Cambodia)...like those above, it is nothing I've heard or could locate on google as a real name. It sounded and felt kind of strange to me and I didn't get any sense of identification with it. And when they told me and used the name, they did so with great respect and formality which threw me even more...I felt sort of a sense of "who?" and "how is this important?"

I feel like a really boneheaded kid sometimes when dealing with soul level matters...as if I skipped the class in which I should have learned something we're dealing with right now. It really brings home the frustration of the guy who had the NDE and upon being resuscitated said "Over there I was frickin' Einstein, and now that I'm back I'm just the same old moron I always was!"

but then again...

In a meditation, I asked to know my "guides" and one guy came forward -- an Asian male, middle-aged, balding and wearing glasses (glasses!?) and he said I would "remember" him. He said I should call him Dojen. Sounded like Doe-jzen. Long "o" and a sort of blended "j-z" and short "e" and soft "n" sound.

I didn't recognize this name (or him!) but I had had a realistic dream before that where I was touring a buddhist monastery with the intention of joining them as a student. I think I was someone quite important in "real life" as I was wearing a very heavy fancy robe. I was taller than my monk guide and I had great respect for him but felt that in "real life" my status was quite high.

Not long after getting the name of my guide I learned that this is a real name or title for a buddhist teacher. So the name didn't mean anything to me at the time -- and yet there IS meaning in it. Just took the right person to turn me on to it, although I don't yet know whether the name was a real name or a title. Maybe it's the same with our "soul names"?
