tribe -- for real ?

hi, I have dozed off before sleeping by listening to Chakra music and somehow in a pleasant way I've had either dreams or extracts or a mix up of past life memories so one lately was me dancing around, part of some tribe, female, to the sound of drum, rhythm. I've always loved dancing, danced since early age and would do my own little steps, you know how that is...

anyhow, what stood out in this dream was that I suddenly had danced my way to a man who sat and hit the drum, and we exchanged -- and here we go -- an egg from the mouths. But while I was having the dream I was perfectly fine with it, like o, how natural. ( if this is seen as too strange, or too disgusting I get if this get erased, but while it happened there was nothing "sick" about it ). Then we were in some sort of forest with lots of pins to walk on, we walked barefoot, me and the egg-exchange-dude and came to a gray looking carved stone of some kind who's legs were closest to the ground and I touched it with my hand. Then it stopped. So much of it has already vanished so I can't remember much details, besides from the egg...

Anyone else had anything like this to experience ? ( embarrassing silence follows ... ? )

All the best, never the less
Jaimie :)

Anyone else who have experienced tribe-stuff and wish to share -- please, do, I will enjoy reading about it. Thank you.

Hi Jaimie,

Eggs have long been a fertility symbol and are associated with Spring, sexuality, procreation, fertility, etc. Christianity "christianized" a variety of pagan symbols as it moved into pagan areas, so old pagan symbols became "Christmas" trees and "Easter" eggs, but these are symbols that go back a long way before Christianity. Just a quick look at Wikipedia turns up a Filipino festival and "egg" dance ritual that is based on old pagan deities: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Obando_Fertility_Rites

I don't know anything about the particular ritual you have mentioned (though you may be able to find something). However, it certainly seems to carry the usual symbolism. (BTW--some of these dances seem to have served as betrothals and possibly marriage ceremonies). I don't wish to be too blunt about it, but depending on who passed the egg to the other, you have not only shared something akin to a kiss (if I am understanding your description), but either he symbolically fertilized you (if he passed it), or you symbolically presented your fertility to him (if you passed it). So, kinda sounds like a betrothal or marriage ceremony to me.

Overall, though it is only a feeling on my part, the whole thing has a kind of Slavic vibe to me. It kind of reminds me of something out of Stravinsky's "Rite of Spring" but without the ominous overtones and sacrifice (death by dancing) of the maiden. However, maybe its not Slavic, but more generally "Northern" and even Nordic. (Once again, just my "feeling" about what you have described). Either way, it is interesting.

Cordially,

Hi S& S and thank you very much for writing to me. It could just have been the pleasant tones from the Chakra music, but it felt (passed by quickly) as if I did not identify myself as me-me/individually as I would do today and other experiences of past life memories. It was much more the feeling that we were all apart of each other, we all belonged, did not matter if one was old or young or anything else, and we were all apart of something bigger ( sounds perhaps too poetic ), there was no shyness regarding the nudity I saw on both men and women, girls and boys, but it felt as if everything was perfectly normal and nothing dirty or sensational about it (that is one knew in what situation it was called for to be aroused and what was not). When I did the dance he decided the rhythm and when to finish; as if I knew this was my time to come over to him, he looked up to me when it was time, his eyes shined, sort of, like it was a special moment, we were serious, yet inside I felt happy, it was me who gave him the egg, but I can't say if it was in my mouth when I danced or if I took it before coming to him. I have tried to look for it on the internet since having this dream, but have not found any ritual where an egg is passed on from one mouth to the next. I did find someone wearing lots of eggs on the head, though :) It was nice of you to not ignore my strange thread, ha ha. I have never thought/knew what you wrote about the long history of the egg, that is interesting. I will sure check out the rest you wrote about, thanks

(started looking again a little and found this

Dogons-Extraordinary-Knowledge-of-the-Cosmos.jpg

Like this man the "egg-exchange-dude" was nude from head to navel and wore the same type of "thing" from navel and down (but nothing on the arms or the head), but with different colors when we were in the wood at the stone statue. Only one of the colors I remember being red, I think. From head to navel he also had the same body type this man on the pic above has. I wore something around my ankles, something red, something pointy, sharp (think it was some sort of green leaf or something I have not seen in this life). The green leaf-things looked so sharp I can imagine that if I wanted to I could use them for defense. The Dogon's knew "complex cosmogony, based on faith in a creative god, Amma, and in a creation produced by the movements of the “Egg of the World” )

This morning before coming really awake i had a short experience of being somewhere in the woods with the "egg-exchange-dude" and a small kid. Something happened, I blew through a wooden tube of some kind with feathers attached to it, all I could do, staring at something, same time he hit his side leg with his hand, a command for the small kid to climb, but he also whisked up the small kid too on his back. some kind of danger approaching I think. Then it was over and out. Before this I would remember sleeping on ground with the little kid between us out in the open with all the stars above, and before this when embracing the egg-exchange-dude I held that wooden tube again, so I think it was often or always with me, the situation was not threaten then.
