Hi Baro-san,
I am not sure I can give intuition any more weight than reason. Humans are fallible. Period. To my mind both intuition and reason are useful, and one without the other is a bit like a person with only one leg or one arm. You really need both to function properly. However, to my mind, both rely ultimately on divine revelation, whether previously recorded, or immediately received, for accuracy, insight and advance in spiritual matters. But that's just my "take" on the matter.
In terms of Christianity, I could probably use a Druze format for Christian Reincarnation, with a heaven, hell, purgatory type formula. At any particular time, some are graduating from the process (and going to Heaven), the great majority are having their purgatorial/purifying experiences by repeated immediate reincarnation here, and a few are "flunking out" and getting removed from the process and the prospect of Heaven. So, the immediate reincarnation model has a lot of versatility (except that I don't know that it is true--for anybody).
I do have to admit that I admire the simplicity of the Druze model. It also has some notable benefits, as are made clear in the linked article. People are less concerned about death, as they believe they are immediately reborn. In fact, this has made for very brave Druze soldiers. The article states that: "A common phrase among Druze in the army is “Tonight my mother’s womb”, which references how they will be immediately reincarnated upon dying in battle." There is also a very strong sense of community. I could even go over to a full Druze model in terms of Christianity (as better explained in the article), but I still don't know that it is true (though in some respects I wish that it was).
Cordially,
