When did you start believing in reincarnation?

I was around 13 when I first started having memories and dreams about past lives, and after researching it some more I started believing. I'm wondering when and how others started believing?

Long time lurker here. First time poster. I’ve had only one recurring dream in my (fairly) long life that feels past life related, but it REALLY feels past life related. I am under the ground, in some sort of tunnel/ passageway. I’m looking up where a patch of sunlight is shining through a hole in the ground above me. I see the roots of plants illuminated. I can hear a massive amount of footfall above me, and I can see a great many people (in shadow) walking by above... I seem to be hiding. From who I don’t know.

i was about 12....went to a museum exhibit and just dropped to my knees. Started to cry..flood of emotions...wanted to break the glass to touch all that was encased in it. Knew at that moment Ancient Egypt was a strong part of my past...than one day much later in my life at 22 years of age a stranger literally walked up to me...she said "honey, you were Egyptian, your wearing lots of gold so your family was privledged"...off course i knew this. Other lives I am not so attached to....the two families i miss the most are polar opposite; A royal family from Egypt and a family from a tribe in the amazon

I think I have always beliieved since childhood but I was exposed to it in childhood by my parents. When I was young we lived next door to the lady that was regressed in the famous case The Search For Bridey Murphy. My parents had the book for it and the recording of the hypnosis sessions.

I was later exposed to Edgar Cayce by my mother.

Hi, knew from young age as I had memories of being someone else - but myself at the same time so when I was a kid I would see me and my pl as the same, could not understand quite how this could be - could not explain it. For instance I rejected my own mother just because I knew I had a "real" mother out there (my pl mother). My folks were not religious and was not familiar with reincarnation that I know off at least. I had "only" one pl that I remembered - being "Anna", an Italian who later came to live and marry and have children in the US, period 40's-70's. Died in midst of life - when the children were still just that - children. I think fear what would happen to the children was really strong. I think dying like that; when one does not expect it and one is quite young - could have the strong link between who I was then and who I am now, also being triggered by visiting Italy and the US where pl me lived. Also connected to the pl husband whom I knew loved his children but occupations would make it hard for him, if not impossible, to do "my job"; so worried about that as well. From when I was young I saw and knew the personality not just of the pl husband and the children, but also my pl-parents, siblings, parents-in-law, friends - they were so real. Think also perhaps why I held on so hard to them - was the hope that they would jump in and help with the kids when I understood that I was Anna no more - and my family (the pl kids and pl husband) needed help.

So always "knew" but no support system around me regarding these matters when I was a kid and growing up (not due to cruelty but to ignorance of the subject, I think).

I quite recently found my pl family so that was validation for me :)

Li la it is wonderful that you connected to your past life family! I have never been regressed but I know I had a life in India. I watched the movie Ghandi and when I saw the landscape filmed from the train I had a deja vu and recognized everything about the countryside. I have Indian friends, I listen to mostly Indian music and belong to a Hindu organization. I feel at times I was born into the wrong country.

I had memories of past lives when I turned five. My parents keep repeating that I said very strange things.

I began to believe in reincarnation when I turned fourteen. I didn't know why I felt stressed when I was in crowded places. I didn't know because I had a phobia of socks with holes in them. I didn't know why I had so many unexplained phobias. I started meditating... It was difficult at first, you know, when you imagine a past life, you imagine something perfect. Something like being a queen without problems, a millionaire guy, or a person who died peacefully. The truth is that my past lives were full of problems. I still have traumas that I try to overcome.

Basically, when I was five years old I remembered past lives and when I was fourteen years old I began to believe in reincarnation, without a doubt.

I have believed for a long time, I don't recall the age exactly, that there was something beyond this current existence. I have sensed familiarities with Ancient Greece, the Old West, and WWII-era France. I have had deep connections with historical events, too, more than just a general interest. Almost borders on a personal investment in their events.

However, I only started researching the concept in-depth last year. But, my inclination had been rooted deep within for several years before.

I knew all about my past life at age three. I never thought about 'reincarnation' as a subject till relatively recently, and I'm not keen on the term. All I know is that I lived before, and have never questioned it for most of my life as it just seemed perfectly normal. I'm a war veteran. It's just that my experience happens to go back further than my age.

I found them on social media but has never dared to make contact and tell them I was once Anna...but at least I found them, right :) How fascinating about you finding your way back home to your pl Indian culture, I recognize the feeling of feeling at home in it - the moment I stepped on Italian ground I felt the same.

When I was around three or so, I could see unusually vivid images of a grown man that I knew was me, but my toddler brain couldn't properly interpret them.

I was open to the idea of reincarnation as I've always been drawn to this kind of thing, but wasn't really sure about it until I was 18. It would definitely explain my lifelong love for Asian stuff tho

I would have night terrors from 3 to 8 of ww1 and ww2 memories (I actually had testing done at a hospital at 6 it was so bad). Would be called an old soul by teachers. Would say and do things adults or my parents would have no idea how I knew. I had advanced placement in language and reading (5th-grade reading class in 1st grade. by 6th grade I was in collegiate reading) advanced knowledge of astronomy and theoretical physics. I would have knowledge of theories and look it up and some physicist twice my age would already have put it forward. I wrote a paper in 7th grade about founding myths and we had to create our own, I wrote some (unbeknownst to me) very "new agey" myth. I had basically written the exact Vedic origin story in more scientific language, and my teacher thought I just copied. I had no clue what she was talking about. Then one day looking into why I was so weird, I found clips of the show "Ghost Inside My Child" which was a show about past life memories of kids. Everything from premature, usually single mothers, night terror memories from 3 to 8, paranormal happenings, strange older person behaviour, advanced knowledge. It all clicked. from 13 on I began having "KNOWING" abilities. I would just "know" things about people, about places, history and they would confirm it (sometimes I would use this power for bad, I would just say things involuntarily that turned out to be true, whoops). Now I can regress other people and see what they are seeing, feeling, and hearing (granted I put myself in a mild trance with them). So, 13 was my awakening, I guess.

Well had an NDE back in 1982. Before then I never did believe in Reincarnation. After I had the NDE I became aware that I had lived many times before and that we are all eternal by nature as soul. In fact as soul we are older than the universe in which we live in. Most of humanity alive today as been reincarnating on this planet for thousands if not millions of years. As it takes soul millions of years just to reach the stage of a individualized, self aware state of consciousness as a human being. In essence developed ego. Before that time we all have been in the wild animal group state of consciousness still before becoming primitive human in Africa. As reincarnation is the process of the evolution of consciousness itself.

I'm sure other star systems through out the cosmos have their own unique cycles of incarnations as well. Because during the NDE I became aware that the universe is filled
with life. Some of which we would not even acknowledge as life because they would we so different from us.

The term how great thou art comes to mind trying to explain the experiences.

P.
