Celtic past-life?

Iseni

Member
Hello :) Yesterday I did my first past-life meditation (it also felt a bit like self hypnosis, since I know how to do it and how to use hypnosis in others). So this is what happened:

When I saw the door to my past life, the door had celtic themes. I open it and there was a mirror, and I got inside the mirror...
In in, I was tall, had long brown/red-ish hair, white skin. I was in a really long white dress (with long sleeves) and had a golden torc in my neck. I was inside a castle, so I start running while looking at it. I remember seeing some columns and the windows were curved and kind of big. I then look outside and see a population... it was surrounded by nature, there was a lot of forestation. They seemed happy and in peace.
I went outside and people started greeting me. They were happy and respected me. Children smiled at me.
Then, for some reason, I was inside the castle again. Was inside of a room, and there was a man. He had more detailed clothing (he looked like a king?) and he kissed me.. we embraced. Then I saw two little children (maybe girls?) running to me. They were 4 or 5 years old. They embraced me legs and I looked "into me" and smiled.

Then after it I felt something pushing me into "reality" and I woke up from meditation in a hurry. I started crying..
My sister even asked me what was wrong.. I felt happy in the memory but there was something wrong, there was something really wrong about it... it was happy memories but I was crying for despair and sadness, like something would happen in the future of that time.. something bad.

So this was my first experience of past-life. I really don't know what to say, really...

Edit: I forgot to mention, I heard some people speaking and heard the name Iseni or something like that... but it didn't feel like it was my name, so..

Hi Iseni :) Welcome to the forum, thanks for sharing your story.

You seem to be aware on a subconscious level that something happened that maybe too traumatic for you to handle right now.

Do you mind me asking you what led you to your first past life meditation? Was it just curiosity? Or some issue that you feel may have originated in a past life? Don't feel obliged to answer if the question is too personal.

I think I would start a journal and investigate these memories further, do you intend to meditate again? Do you think they were your two children in the memory?

Hello :)

Well, I've been doing meditation for lots of years now, and I've had some pretty amazing experiences with it.. and since I'm into hypnosis now too, I decided it was time to do it. There's a lot of stuff that I do or feel that it feels like it was from different past lives, you know? So it was time to do it, was with my sister (she tried it too, didn't quite work) and it was a relaxed day out of school :)

I want to meditate again, now I'm kind of curious about this one.. I also want to meditate on other past lives...

I do believe they were my children, as soon as I saw them running to me, I felt love.

Hello Iseni and welcome :)

Thanks for sharing -- please do update us if/when you find out more :)

I've been looking for information on Celts since yesterday and...some minutes ago I found out there was a Celtic tribe named Iceni

Hi Iseni! Good to have you with us on the Forum.

The largely missing history of the Celts has been of some considerable interest to me; and one of the most inspiring leaders was Boudicca, a queen, who led the Iseni tribe and others in a very bloody revolt against the Romans after they ignored the last will of her husband, Prasutagus. She and her daughters, however, did not fare well, and the cruelty and humiliation laid by the Romans seems to have left some kind of mark on my soul.

The only vivid dreams that I've had regarding the Celts, however, seems to have something to do with an earlier period of warfare between the different tribes, when taking heads was rampant. The dream portrayed me as an elder of some sort, who was brought to a scene in which five young men of his village including his son(s) were beheaded. The elder, though very saddened, was, remarkably, stoic and objective at the scene. He realized that this was the way of things, and that it was the will of the gods that some would be struck down in their youth and others would live.

This dream occurred a relatively short time before five close friends of my own sons were fatally shot in the head by a landlord named Geoff Ferguson (a very Celtic name). My own sons would have been among them were it not for a single circumstance. During that time we lived along a street named "Druid", and the many friends of my sons insisted on regarding me as a Druid priest. I even married couples at their insistence. Of course, it wasn't necessarily legal; but it, somehow, satisfied their needs.

I did more meditation today to see if I remembered anything else...

Again, I was that same exact Celtic woman, but my dress wasn't white anymore, it was colorful.

I was in a river in the middle of nature... then I started to go back to my village and saw that man, my husband. I saw that he had beard and his hair color was kind of light..brown/red? Anyway, we both started to enter the village and we started looking at the sky, in the horizon, and we were worried about something.

And that was it. After that, I searched about Iceni and...

That is a great story Nightrain1! Thanks for sharing!

Like I said, I've been searching about Iceni... and this is all so... strange. The fact that my "memories" aren't that wrong, and everything seems so..familiar.

Regarding Iceni: I read that geographically they were isolated, it had sea near and the rest was covered in a dense forest. (and King Prasutagus was peaceful so they lived peacefully)

Regarding Boudicca: She.. had long red hair. She had 2 daughters (they were approximatively 12 when Prasutagus died). After Prasutagus died, the romans invaded Iceni, not taking part of the deal with Prasutagus, and Boudicca was flogged and her two daughters raped by the Romans. Then she made an uprising against the Romans, as a warrior and leader and.. did killed a lot of Romans, but in the end it was unsuccessful.

...all I have to say about this is: wow.

When I read that Boudicca had two daughters, for some reason I started crying in despair. Don't know why, and it was before knowing they were raped after the Romans invasion...

Not saying I was Boudicca, or something, but I'm known to be a really strong woman that always fight for what I want. I can be very fearful and do have a lot of both physical and psychological strength (already had some fights years ago against older boys, but I would win), but very caring at the same time and always protect everyone. When I see an injustice I try to solve it, peacefully or ...not so peacefully...

I just don't know what to think anymore :butbut:

One characteristic of Celtic society that I admire most is the power that most Celtic women were able to exercise. Unlike most male-dominated cultures, it seems the men had authority only outside of the household; whereas the women ruled the household absolutely. It still appears to be the case in some Irish households of the present. In many cases, the elder women of a tribe had to be consulted before any decision could be made regarding the welfare of the tribe. As in Boudicca's case, the women were a force to be reckoned with, and they were the primary reason that Boudicca had so much support from other tribes during the rebellion. That is, until her force crossed the line by their own autrocities. I have also found it interesting that the Iriquois Federation conducted business in much the same way two hundred years ago. Some scholars have suggested a strong connection between the Northeast American tribes and those of the Celts on the eastern rim of the Atlantic basin. They both exhibited remarkably similar burial customs and pottery styles.

Great information Nightrain! :)

Need to speak with my brother-in-law, he's an historian, but also an archaeologist! Also, my sister remembered me that he LOVES celtic/norse mythology and history...and he does know a lot (and has lots of books). Guess I'll learn a lot from him! :D

This is a very interesting thread. I have always had an interest in the Celts and their Culture there in Europe. Thanks Iseni and Nightrain.

I've always been interest by the Norse and Celtic art and mythology, but never knew anything about it, historically speaking. Now that I'm learning more about it, I actually feel happier :)

Hiya Iseni,

Do keep us posted on your findings! But beware of not getting too focused on Boudica at this early stage of remembering ;)

Also, I know that there is a lot of information online about the celts, but much of it is not trustworthy, so be careful when researching online

I can highly recommend 'The Ancient Celts' by Barry Cunliffe and British archaeologist Miranda Green has written several good and educational books on the subject of celtic women

Ah of course, don't want to mix my memories with information I read ;)

Yes I know most information about Celts, being them mostly based on fantasy, is not correct, but my brother-in-law knows a lot about it (and the true one, specially being an archaeologist too) so he'll inform me correctly on everything :)

Edit: I was using my phone (when I wrote this comment), so I couldn't write too much.

I did some meditation today to see if I could remember anything else. The memories are getting shorter and really fast. I saw that woman again, me, and I was sitting in a dark place. This memory was really dark and blurry. But I know I had something sharp on my knees. Then someone called me (can't remember what they said, nor the name) and I went outside. It was still dark and then we heard a big noise and I felt anxious.

At that's it. I asked for clarity in the middle of this, but everything was in a hurry and even more blurry :(
