Dying and my possible hindu life

When I was a kid, my mom would always rave on and on about how much she loved India and indian things. She would buy blouses that said ''Made in India'' and bracelets. She loves elephants and so would collect elephant knick knacks that she put everywhere in her room. My mom is not a hippie or from California. She's not well-educated and has never travelled anywhere at all so, that love for India does not necessarily has a clear origin.

I also love India and read books on the religion and customs when I was a kid and later on. When I was 10, I wanted to live in India and be an actress and a writer but was worried about the quality of steaks being sold there!

Almost ten years ago, I met a man who became my boyfriend. We were attracted to each other from the get go. My boyfriend had a hindu friend whom I met at the very beginning of our relationship. As soon as I met him, I felt very at ease in his presence. My boyfriend and the hindu friend were close. I was never close with the friend but I liked him very much. My boyfriend and I went to his wedding dressed the indian way (we were the only non-indians to do that at the wedding). My boyfriend and I had a very intense relationship for many years but eventually, he became sick and died.

At his deathbed, the friend said a hindu prayer (although my boyfriend was not a hindu). I closed my eyes and felt very calm and as if all this had happened before. I so liked the language in the prayer I bought a book of sanskrit.

After my boyfriend death I had all kinds of vivid dreams and in one of them, I saw a woman dressed in an orange saree who was sitting by a dying man while covering part of her face. I felt I was that woman. Beside me was another man who may have been either my brother, my brother-in-law or my husband.

I often have the impression that my dead boyfriend, his friend, my mother, possibly other people and I are involved together in the same incarnation and have known each other before in India. I also feel the relationship with my boyfriend was particular in a way that not all romantic relationships are, in the sense that it was intense, brought a lot of pain, and that it was an important learning experience in many, many ways.

And so, now, I am reading everything on dying, near-death experience, reincarnation and feeling that there may be answers for me in that possible past life. I'd like to get a past life regression and I eventually will but for now, I don't have the money for it. I just keep reading and reading and thinking about it and recording my dreams until I can understand why I had that intense experience and those impressions.

Hello Orange, and welcome to the forum :D As you'll no doubt read here, travelling through lifetimes with the same group (more or less) of souls is a common thing.

I'm very sorry to hear about your boyfriend :( However, when you do have strong dreams, feelings or impressions about things, be sure to make a note of them, no matter how small the detail or feeling. If and when you do research or undergo a regression these will be strong indicators that can help guide you.

Once again, welcome and I'm sorry for your loss.

Firstly, welcome to the forum. Hope you like it here.

So, you love India,eh? It is a very nice place, no doubt. But unfortunately, they are suffering from over-population.. Nevertheless, it's still a wonderful place. If you need any information about Hindus, I can help as my country is not that far and I have Indian friends.

I'm very sorry for your boyfriend :( . But by the way you are telling, you and him have been in the same timeline in your past life. From what I known, sometimes your friends in the past lifetime may change roles. Your mum may be your best friends in the next life..

Anyway, welcome again and very sorry for your loss. But you don't need a professional regression to tell. Most of us do it at home, just go with an open mind and you'll get no lies. :)

My mom is not a hippie or from California.
Hey! I think I've been insulted! LOL, just kidding! I'm from California and I know exactly what you mean. I don't think I really belong in this state. I belong back east.

Sorry for your loss. Totoro has given you some good advice

Thank you for your comforting messages! #G^H

I have had many dreams either of past lives or dreams giving me information about my current life or about other people. For example, I had a dream of my boyfriend after he died in which he was giving me information about himself, myself and about us. But, I wish I could remember more about it. I wish I could meet him again in a dream.

Years ago, I had a dream that gave me information about my daughter before she was born. She was there, telling me about herself. From the dream, I know she chose me as her mother and that she came on earth with a small group of about 6 children who are very creative. I have to help her with her creative endeavours. The girl I saw was extremely outgoing and laughing a lot. As it happens, my daughter is very artistic, looks exactly the same as the girl I saw in my dream and is extroverted. Until I had the dream, I thought of my baby as a boy. My daughter was unplanned and unexpected but, 2 weeks before I learned I was pregnant, her father found her name and said he would like our future daughter to have it.

Sometimes, what happens if that I will wake up with a very strong hunch about something specific that will lead me to act upon the information. Nothing else, no memory of anything, just a big hunch to do something. For example, I once woke up, sitting straight in the bed, going ''OMG!''. I had suddenly woken up feeling very strongly a client at work was lying to me about certain important things. This had a big impact on my work. So I went to work, dig up to discover if there were actually lies (there were) and reported it and it changed the actions to do in a major way.

So, I feel confident I can go on receiving messages through dreams. However, the problem I have with those dreams or hunches is that I often cannot remember most of the information given. I will retain the gist of it and the ''feel'' but not all of the precise information I know I was given. It is quite frustrating.

Because of that shortcoming, I would still like to eventually attempt regression to recover precise information, if I can.

There is a regression tape I'd like to try, it's in a book called ''The Hidden Power of Your Past Lives'' by Sandra Anne Taylor. Does anybody know it? What are good regression CDs you use?

Orange, welcome to the forum :)

I am sorry to hear about your loss. Please accept my deepest sympathies.

I am Indian and Hindu myself so if you have any questions please feel free to ask. I'll try to help you as best as I can.
