That's very interesting, Florence, by researching my ancestry I came to find that I am descended of Mary Stuart's grandfather, King James IV. And in my lifetime as Charles Edward Stuart, you would have been my ancestor!!!
I say this quite openly here, but obviously it is not something I could go around saying anywhere else, for those around me would begin to think that I am like someone claiming to be Napoleon. Quite naturally, they would say I was nuts!!!
As well as the coincidence of having been given the same name, I had "memories" from childhood, from when my father used to sing a song that was composed for Bonnie Prince Charlie called "Charlie is my darling". One of them of an entrance to a town which, years later, I came to recognise as being exactly the same as the one in my childhood memory, called Biggar, on the road to Edinburgh.
At age 15, in the first spiritual encounter I ever had, I asked if reincarntion was real as I had only just recently read "The Spirits' Book", and whom I had been in a past lifetime. The answer was that I had been "Prince Charles Edward Stewart", with the "Stewart" written differently to mine.
At age 30, during a psychic reading made with "Búzios" (Cowry) shells, with a medium of not very high education, incorporated by an entity who presented herself as "Aunt Rita", she said to me that I "descended from a lineage of princes and kings", that I had lived in the 18th century, and that I "had the same name then as the one that I have now". And I literally almost fell over backwards...
Naturally, I was all excited about it at age 30. I wanted to let everyone know that "reincarnaion was real"! I wanted to go back to Scotland and recover a crown!!!
Whoa, boy...
This woman knew almost nothing at all about me. The story of "Bonnie Prince Charlie" is hardly known at all here in Brazil. I had certainly not mentioned anything at all about my encounter fifteen years earlier to her. The fact that she had very little education only made it harder to imagine that she herself might ever have heard of him. So, I was absolutely stunned...
But since then I have heard so much, and have seen so much, that has confirmed it all. Including what I came to learn, almost twenty years later, regarding my ancestry and my "descendance of a lineage of Princes and Kings". As well as an illegitmate daughter of King James IV, I also found among my ancestors three of King Robert II's sons, two of King James I's daughters, an illegitimate son of King Robert III, a pile of Capets, Aragons, Castilles... Goodness!!!
If any of you have ever watched the film "Braveheart", what I eventually found was that I am a descendant of literally all of the main characters in the film: King Robert I "The Bruce", Princess Isabella Capet of France, King Edward I "The Longshanks", his gay son Edward II (or was Edward III truly Wallace's son?), and, nicely enough, that among my various ancestors is also Sir William "The Braveheart" Wallace...
Going further back is William the Conqueror, Emperor Charles Magne...
So...
I know of other lifetimes of mine that were not famous: a Roman soldier, a soldier in the crusades, a poor street boy in London, a son of a slave, a German soldier in WWII...
Funnily enough, my claim to have been a "famous" person obviously far more worked against any claim as to the reality of reincarnation than in its favor. The only advantage, as far as I can tell, of having lived a "famous" past lifetime is in the fact that it is so well documented, which in my own case has helped me to "validate" certain points.
