Grand Daughter-Known Before?

StrawberryField

StrawberryFields
I just wanted to say that I think my grand daughter is a reincarnation of someone. Perhaps a family member. I am not sure yet because she hasn't yet begun to talk. This is the reason I think so. Right after she was born, when they put her under the warming lights, she did not cry, she looked me right in the eyes and smiled the biggest smile like she new who I was and she acts like she already knows how to do things like how to turn knobs and how to get on top of things how things work. Like she has seen things before. I have never seen a child like her. Is she really intelligent or does she know me? She also has a birthmark on the side of her head like no other that I have ever seen in my life, it is really strange. Maybe I am grasping at straws but I can't wait until she can talk because I am going to pose the question of how she came upon the mark on the side of her head and see what she says. Has anyone out there ever seen a baby just born look into someone's eyes and smile and not cry? Please share your thoughts. I am very curious.

Hi StrawberryField, welcome to the forum :)

Thanks for sharing your experience with your Granddaughter, how old is she now? It sounds as if it may be possible that she has memories of a past life, but you can't be sure until she starts remembering things 'out loud'. You suggested that she may recognize you as a past life family member, in which case the birthmark might be a clue. Birthmarks are often (not always) a physical sign of a wound sustained in a past life, I wonder if you have a recollection of any of your family members that were injured or scarred on the side of their head?

Personally, I wouldn't ask her about the birthmark, not straight away anyway as you're most likely to confuse her more than anything else. I would probably wait and see if she starts talking without any prompting, then maybe ask her later on, or see if she gives you any clues under her own steam. If she does, make sure you write everything down that she says.

In the meantime, you may find this thread helpful:

Hope you enjoy the forum, and please keep us updated with your Granddaughter.

Hi StrawberryField and welcome to the Forum,

I was a foster carer for many years and I have certainly seen babies smile who were only one or two days old. I have also heard of babies smiling at birth. Not all babies cry at birth.

Advances in 3-D scanning of unborn infants has shown that they smile, frown, blink and make breathing movements.

I have also observed newborns smiling in their sleep; one wonders what they might be dreaming or perhaps remembering of a past life or their in between lives experience.... :)

I think because we are not new to this world, we are born again knowing how to do many every day things already.

Can you describe the birthmark on your grand daughter's head in more detail?

Welcome to the forum, Strawberryfield. :)

I'm pretty sure your daughter is a reincarnation of someone - but that's because we all are. ;)

It sounds like she's a remarkable girl. Birthmarks are often echoes of the past, so to speak, but it would be difficult to know unless she'll have memories later to validate it.

It's not a good idea to push children by asking them a lot of questions about their past lives, unless they bring it up first themselves. Just play it cool and you'll do fine.

I hope you'll like the forum and will post about your daughter as she's growing up.

Hi StrawberryField,

I believe your question regarding the eye-to-eye meeting with your grand daughter could be a very good indication of recognition. Usually, I try to stifle any unproven assumptions; but, my own experience with my older son was an experience that I'll never forget.

I had heard that a newborn's eyesight isn't always developed enough to respond and focus on another's eyes. However, as Anglecat pointed out, many babies probably do look and smile at anyone nearby. Strictly speaking, we are all hard-wired from birth to locate any face that has the usual five features (eyes, nose, mouth and head. Babies may even smile and "talk" to a smiley face balloon.

However, my son was born premature and jaundiced, which could possibly have limited his ability to see and focus. When they rolled him out of the OR in his incubator, I was there looking at the top rear of his head. Suddenly, he turned his head and looked at me squarely focused on my eyes, then smiled like I've never seen a baby smile. He was undoubtedly a special little boy, who's spirit locked onto mine from the very beginning all the way to his present age of 34 years.

Every parent, of course, tries to show equal attention and interaction with two siblings -- especially two very sensitive boys. However, there is still something special and spiritual between Jason and myself. He has had an innate knowledge of several subjects, which presented itself long before he could have been taught, and he has been able to verbally run circles around any authority including teachers and even the police. He was "street-wise" long before he hit the streets. He came from someplace where I knew him in a past life, I'm certain.

So, yes StrawberryField. I believe whole-heartedly that you can tell the difference between a baby that just looks and smiles, and a baby who "locks onto" you in a very deep way. As Karoliina pointed out, your granddaughter is certainly reincarnated from someone. But, I would definitely add that she recognized you in a way that can't be described by words. Congratulations! You have reunited with someone who was very close to you long before she was born.
