Hi Helz,
I'm very interested in your statement about "spoken words in my mind" as I just had that happen to me a few days ago (for the first time in my life). Please provide some additional information in terms of your experience of this.
Cordially,
S&S
I will refer to the OP as well as this question, because it may be of interest to more than just S&S.
I had past life memories since pretty much I can remember as a small child, but I didn't know what it was and was not bothered by it. I assumed it was normal.
Sometimes it would be 'visual'. For instance, I recall being very young, maybe 4 or 5 and my mother took me to the old style local butcher's shop, which still used to exist back then, with saw dust on the floor and meat hanging up on hooks. The butcher was a big jolly fellow, with a stripy apron and knives hanging from his belt, joking with all the housewives. I thought this was all very interesting as a little girl to see all this going on. But suddenly I could 'see' him, or maybe 'imagine' him is a better word, but really I 'recognised' him. I could picture him wearing a Tudor style frilly collar, wearing an old style suit, like this image below. I saw him sitting at a table, at some kind of dinner party, raising a goblet of wine. This kind of thing happened quite a lot and I didn't really worry about it too much, but I remember this incident as it was quite startling.
There were some instances where the experience was more 'kynesthetic' like the time when I was about the same age and I was possessed to jump up and start doing some kind of highland fling at a party my parents took me to. I describe that incident here:
Scotland
I have recounted various stories where a piece of music will suddenly thrust me back in time, so to speak. Some people will have a word, like a name of a person or a place, that just keeps resonating with them. Often people tell stories in the forum about having a dream which was about a single word in a foreign language that they then find out has a past life connection.
Others will talk about having a sharp pang of nostalgia when looking at a photo or TV show about a piece of landscape where they have never been. I have had that happen to me too. More than once people have described going to a certain town, for instance in Europe or Japan, where they've never been before, but knowing their way around perfectly and feeling strange feelings of deja vu around every corner.
There are lots of different ways to have these kinds of experiences in short.
