My daughter will be four in August. Since she was two she has been telling my husband and I 'crazy' stories about when she was big. Being that this has continued for almost two years now and her stories are consistent with each other it is starting to 'freak me out'. It began in the car on a rainy day, she was about 26 months old and said, "When I was big my car was blue and sparkly. Then my friends cried for me." I was a little shocked because she was barely talking in complete sentences and this just came out. I asked why her friends cried and she said, "because her car went into the water." Over the last couple of years she tells anyone who is driving to be careful, watch the road, go the speed limit and not to get to close to the water. She has also mentioned her other mom and dad, another woman whom was really sad because a man took her daughter and she told me that Jesus gave her blue goggles to watch me when I was little before she picked me to be her mom, then he (Jesus) put her into an egg so she could be my baby. This is something that I honestly am not sure that I even believe in, but it has me puzzled. Honestly, I am a Christian and feel almost guilty for even doing this, yet every time she says something so random for a 3 year old, I just can't let it go. I don't know if I'm digging too deep into her stories, watched too much John Edwards, or if there is something to this.
I would greatly appreciate any feedback.
