God, what memories this brings up,
another creative soul that has translated from the physical plane. Loved some of the movies he was in, but my greatest memory of his performing career was in rocky horror picture show which I saw in 1978. I was a senior in high school back then and my group of friends and I would go to the ocean beach strand theater in San Diego California every Saturday night. What made this so special was because it transformed from a commercial failure file during that time into an interactive, midnight-movie community where countercultural and queer audiences found a safe space for self-expression. Which was actually kind of cool during that time because it didn't matter what sexual orientation you were as it brought people together young and old alike to just have fun.
People in the audience would invent playful heckling, called "counterpoint dialogue," and shouted back at the screen. Attendees brought props like water guns, toast, flashlights or lighters and rice, while dressing up in elaborate cosplay of different characters in the film. Thanks for the memories Tim, you will be missed but not forgotten.
Love and peace always...
