I found this very interesting. Not about rebirth so much as - life in some form continues.
Then how do you explain this?
Not to get all morbid on you, but there was another death in my life. My father’s last words to me were, “Talk to you soon,” but he suddenly passed away a week later.
I flew back home to attend another funeral, this time with my children.
On the morning of his burial, I carried my 2-year-old son, and we were the last to leave in silence. When I turned my back to the burial site, my son had his gaze behind me. He waved his chubby little hand and said one little word — “Grandpa.”
I stopped dead in my tracks.
Keep in mind, although my son was soaking up his surroundings like a sponge, at two years old, he didn’t speak much unless reciting words by sight.
Though I didn’t see grandpa when I turned around, I understood maybe the dead are never gone. Perhaps we’re fractals of cosmic matter projecting from the skies, and it takes collecting many lifetimes to see that you and I, us, are all dots connected to the Universe. Looking back, I see all of these as signs: One page. One clue. One word.
Intuitive Healer Dr. Kim Peirano says in the article, “Can Kids See Ghosts?,” in The Every Mom:
“Kids are more susceptible to ghost sightings because they have a much greater sense of awareness than most adults. This leaves them subject to picking up on energies and events that go unnoticed by most. We tend to have a belief that because our kids can’t always communicate [their thoughts], that they are unaware or unconscious of what’s going on around them. This is anything but the case.”
You can take her words or my story into consideration. Did my son see my father as a ghost before parting ways at the cemetery? Well, I don’t have sound evidence to prove whether he did or didn’t, but I can tell you two facts.
I trust my son. And you can’t argue with a 2-year-old. - By Tracy Luk
