Healing and Talking to your inner self.

I don't know if this belongs here, and if it doesn't I hope a moderator will kindly move it to where it should go. It's not memories per se but I've been dealing with a lot of past life angst, sorrow, pain and what have you. One life in particular keeps it all coming back, and in many new forms as well. Anyways.

A friend suggested that I should literally hug myself and speak to my inner self, or reach out to him. I'd never done this before and I didn't know what would happen but I decided to give it a go because what could it hurt? I closed my eyes and called out his name, silently and suddenly I was in the place I had died in, in that life. He (my past self) was cowering in a corner, and he was shaking and crying. I myself was sobbing hard, because the sudden flood of pain that I felt was really overwhelming and it was a lot to process.

As suggested by my friend, I reached out to him and he spoke to me in the language I knew in that life time, and in my mind and soul I knew what he was saying, even though it wasn't in English. When I spoke back to him, he understood me as well. I told him that he couldn't have stopped what was going to happen. I told him that it wasn't his fault and that he shouldn't blame himself for it. It sounds so weird because I was telling myself this, my inner self. My past self. I offered my hand to him and he took it and I've never quite felt such a sensation like that before. I felt my past self hug me. It was like nothing I've ever felt before and I cried so hard feeling that embrace.

After we embraced, (and there were a few more embraces after that because I needed to be hugged by myself) I opened the door that led out of the room we were in and it was instantly flooded with white light, and I saw rolling green hills and meadows beyond. I've seen this place only in my dreams. It was raining, but it wasn't cold rain - it was warm rain and it was healing me, healing him.

After this, I was so tired and went to sleep, and had some memories from that life (I think) or it was dreams, I'm not entirely sure. I woke up feeling the embrace and touch of my past life mother, something I've been pining for and missing terribly as of late.

So I don't know if this experience will be for everyone and if will help. It helped in some ways, though I don't think I'm fully healed from it all. That life time is particularly raw still. Anyways, thanks for listening.

Communicating with your past selves directly is a trippy experience. I've been able to speak to one of my past selves and it was definitely enlightening to put it mildly. He gave me some very good advice about not repeating his mistakes.

Glad yours was so helpful!

It is indeed a trippy experience. Enlightening is a good way to put it as well. He definitely had a lot to say, and the feelings/emotions from that life time were very raw. I don't know why that past-life of all lives I've had still haunts me so much. I've been able to move on and forgive for most of the lives I know of, but this one in particular is very much still raw. The death was brutal and painful, so I suppose it is that. I also miss my past-life parents terribly from that life time. I've encountered claimants who claim the same individual as I do, which makes things... interesting but I've learned over the years to just let what will be, be.

The thing I want most is to have my past life mother back, and if possibly my father as well. I have my siblings, and am so grateful to have them back with me (even if we aren't biologically related). But my parents are another story. Anyways.

Thanks for reading and responding! ^_^

Hello! Thank you for sharing! :)

Theoretically, I talk with PL self (well one half of them) all the time, because they’re my Spirit Guide. At first, it felt strange because I knew they were a part of myself. Now, it feels normal to me, but my situation is different.

BUT... I have spoken to my actual PL self a few times. It was literally mostly a ‘girly chat’ (my PL self that I have my own memories for was female). It felt strange, but again natural. IMO, talking with any of your PL selves should feel natural and feel all of their emotions and feelings too. If they feel hurt, you will feel hurt too.

Some of our PL selves often do have a LOT to say. My Queen from my Ancient Egyptian lifetime, had so much to say, I ended up writing a 300 page book. This can often be gripes with how modern history portrays them, or just stuff we never really had a chance to say in that lifetime.

Or, our PL selves who we were, often have a lot to say because they are hurting, and want some liberation and peace. Once I had written the book, my Queen faded back in the background of all my past lives, happy and content.

Often some of our most traumatic lives are unfinished. What I mean by unfinished, is that we either died in circumstances that did not enable us to finish what we started. This often happens in lifetimes when we endure war, persecution or compulsory conscription. It seems as though your PL self was persecuted (again, I’m only assuming based off what you’ve written and I could be horribly wrong) and did not have a chance to finish what you had started in that lifetime.

If it is a FPL, you will come across people who “claim” the same life as you. Only one of you will have the true memories of that person, while the others will only have false memories brought on by reading a ton of history books. Trust me, I’ve had this happen to me too with two of my FPL’s.

Perhaps, next lifetime you can plan to have your parents back? Maybe they are just not to play a role in your current lifetime, or you didn’t choose them to be in your current lifetime?

Hello! Thank you for sharing! :)

Evening to you Eva1942,

Thanks for taking the time to read my thread, and also reply back! Yes... it is often that some of most traumatic PL's are unfinished. I died young, and it wasn't pleasant. Death can be pleasant, but that one wasn't. I saw a lot of evil happen in the span of less than half an hour. It was very fast and very painful. There's a lot that isn't resolved. Talking to him was helpful, definitely but I don't know if I'm entirely 100% healed.

But anyways, thanks again for sharing your experiences, and reading my thread! :)

I know the feeling. I had a brief interaction with another one of my PL selves and his pain was unbearable. His mother died in childbirth and he was basically an orphan. He wasn't angry at her for dying, but he spent most of his life alone.

I've had a chance to have a non-familial relationship with said mother in this life and it's been quite the healing process, especially lately. It's a start anyway lol

Hi, Eva:

Sorry for such a stupid question, but what is meant to be this mysterious (for me) PL self? It should be some soul, as I see it, in this case it will be the same soul as mine. I understand, more or less, how I can read my PL memory: my soul has stored somewhere the memories from all my PLs, all blocked, and I have to read of that big memory only from a particular section corresponding to that particular PL, previously unblocking it. Is that correct?

But what with the PL selves? You don't mean that my - one and only - soul has a collection of selves (kind of sub-souls) stored somewhere in me, one per each PL I've had, and when I talk to a particular PL self, I talk to one of the sub-souls in that collection of selves?

And now a practical question (with your permission):

How do I invoke such a conversation (meditation, regression, etc.)?
Suppose, in my PL I died at the age of 25 (in a war), now I'm much older, so what age will that PL self of mine have?

Thank you, Eva, for your kindness and attention,

Wish you all the best.

Hi there Cyrus, I hope you don't me giving some advice on your questions here?

A PL self, is any one of your past lives that you've had, which if like you mentioned, meditate or regress, you can talk to them during a relaxed state of mind. It's the first time I was able to even do it - and boy, did my PL self have a lot to tell me. Yes, it is the same soul as yours (usually, as everyone's experiences are different). My PL self and me today are the same soul. I hope that you'll be able to find a way to unblock these memories and past lives that were yours at one time? Regression videos help me (not all the time, but I do get answers when I watch them). Maybe Eva can help more?

I hope my reply is helpful? :)

Oh, regarding your PL self's age and your's now. I'm 30, and my PL self died when he was almost 14 (died just weeks prior to his 14th birthday). In most of my past lives, the ones I remember anyhow - I died either very young, or before I reached 30. Which is interesting, because now I'm 30 and have surpassed most of the past lives where I didn't even reach this age. One life time that I recall, I did reach age 30 and passed age 30 and died an old man. It's surprising to me because that PL died in his 80's. It's surprising mainly because most people didn't reach that age in the 15th Century! (Then again, I'm not well versed in that period - I just know I lived during that time, worked, painted and sculpted)

But yes, hopefully Eva can enlighten you more so! Have a great day! ^_^

Hi, insearchof_1785:

Thanks for your concern.

I must be so dumb, I can't understand, how can one talk to one's life.
I can talk to someone that has personality, i.e. to a person i.e. to a soul. Some say they can even talk to cats - well, I can't.
A life, even a PL is just an abstraction, it is not a soul that can think and act by itself.

Suppose I do a regression and activate a scene from my PL where I see myself as a 15-year old boy sitting at a table and waiting for his grandmother to prepare him a parcel that he has to carry somewhere. Who can I talk to in this scene: the boy? the boy's grandmother?

These two are non-existant, they are just clusters of my memories, how can they act as autonomous entities, like some persons?

Thanks in advance for your attention.

Wish you all the best.

Hi, insearchof_1785:

It's OK, it seems that I begin to see your point.

I want to try it myself. I want to know where should my PL self carry that parcel, to begin with.

One thing:

I can't use this trick to prevent my PL self from getting into the place where he will be killed some minutes later, can I?

It would be a serious violation of the law of causality.

But what would occur if I tried?

What will happen if I tell him not to go there?

And can I ask my PL self, e.g., where exactly he was born, full names of his parents, etc. - and get sensible answers?

Best regards.

Hi Cyrus,

There are only two possible explanations for this that I can think of at the moment.

First, is a trans-temporal link. I know one member (Tanguerra) who claimed to have linked at one point with her far past self, who (as I think I recall) initially considered that he was getting communications from the spirit world or a god. However, in what I think is a more likely scenario, it would not be the PL's conscious mind but subconscious that you would be communicating with, and the PL would probably not even be aware that the communication was going on. The trans-temporal possibility is also the "scarier" of the two possibilities mentioned as it would seem to allow what you mentioned, a change in the past that impacts and changes future events. OTOH, I find it hard to imagine that there are not safeguards of some kind in place to prevent this, or at least to prevent it from getting out of hand.

Second, the updated hardware and updated software analogy. What if "You" are similar to software that gets switched to new hardware every time your existing hardware gets broken beyond repair or wears out. Not only that, but at every transfer, what you’ve “learned” from a character standpoint is transferred, memory of actual events prior to the most recent transfer is placed into a very difficult to access reserve memory location, useful skills are placed into a more readily accessible memory location (speeding recovery of those skills under the proper circumstances), and you get a general upgrade (a bit smarter in most cases).

Also, consider that the total package (hardware and software) may include both material and non-material aspects, and has the overall capability to simultaneously “play” not only the current layer of software with its accessible memory, but an earlier version with its accessible memory such that the present “you” level of software can interact with and communicate with the PL “you” level of software. Query: would this describe what we’re talking about? If not, how would you improve/modify the analogy, or why would you “junk” it altogether?

Cordially,
S&S

Hi, S&S:

You're right about no need for any transtemporal possibilities.

And I don't like the term "update" here.

I think nothing gets really updated.

The PL memory stored in the subconscious is read-only and never gets modified. All modifications take place only in the conscious.

Suppose I'm in the middle of a regression and it's very early in the morning and I am a 15 year-old boy in that Tuscan kitchen sitting at a big wooden table, waiting for my grandma to prepare a parcel (my midday lunch) for me because I have to go to Florence for the whole day and will return home very late.

If I asked that boy what is he going to Florence for, he might reply something like: "I'm going to have a medical checking done on me to determine whether I'm apt for military service".

Well, in reality, it's not somebody from the past that answers (me, an updated me or anybody else), it's just an illusion created inside my subconscious, which uses the info stored there in the subconscious memory and wraps beautifully this info for me as if it were a real answer from that boy.

It's like in the regression youtube clip I use where there is a moment for the subconscious to unblock for me part of the memory stored there, it's wrapped into an invitation for me to step into the nearest of a series of mirrors, that I should have imagined already some seconds earlier. What really happens in the subconscious is hard to imagine, but, using analogy with computers, huge amounts of binary code are beautifully wrapped into the images of mirrors and the act of stepping into them, only to make it easier for my conscious to follow the correct path - all such fuss only to unblock a section of subconscious memory. Just like a graphics card presents a binary abracadabra as a beautiful flower, e.g.

Of course, as there is no real boy and not even a kitchen table he's sitting at - neither here and now, no far in the past - no temporal paradox can occur, and I shall never be able to warn my PL myself not to cross that hatch to enter that damned warship section, that will be inundated in several minutes, the hatch carefully closed from the outside to prevent the whole ship from sinking.

From my perspective computers are not an apt analogy. From what I have experienced the soul exists outside of spacetime and it is vast. All histories seem to be occurring simultaneously.

A couple of examples.

My PL memories are sometimes preceded by a tunneling affect, like a shorter version of the death tunnel. They aren't simply memories, they seem to be actual views into past events that are occurring in real time. It seems to me what I experience at times is an Einstein Rosen Bridge. Perhaps Cyrus has a view on this?

Also I don't believe one can change past events although one may be able to influence subconsciously but since the past and present occur simultaneously to us on the other side of the veil our involvement has already happened from our point of view alive on Earth therefore there is no paradox.

Two of my dreams spring to mind. A conversation with my past life sister in which she knew current day information about me. The 'real' Hannie would not be aware of such things on a conscious level but her higher self would so it seems that's who I was conversing with.

The other dream is where I was at a train station and met my past life self. He told me he was waiting for someone whose name I have now forgotten, but at the time of the dream I researched the name my past self had given me and he did indeed exist and was killed in the Midlands of Ireland.

It seems to me imparting information to a past self would barely, if at all, register with a PL self and if it did it had always happened in that way, but one can be given information by a PL self.

Just my two cents.

Hey guys! I love how this is branching off into different ideas and topics! Keep it going! I just got back from work. It's been a long day. I'm glad I've started something here! ^_^

Klaud, with you there! My PL self was young when he died. It was brutal, and not exactly torture but you could call it as such. I still have guilt left over from that life. Guilt over some decisions I made which after some 100 years you'd think it would be forgiven or let go. Haha, nope. I'm so happy that you have been able to have a relationship (even if non-familial) with your PL mother! That's amazing :D! I hope that its been really helpful, the healing process <3.

Those choices have a lasting impact! I'm still dealing with stuff that happened like 1000 years ago.

I'm fairly confident she has no active recollection of our shared PL, so I'm hoping this is helping her on a subconscious level.

Jim that's interesting. I don't really view memories, but when I'm prompted, I just know them like they happened to me. I just seem to recall the information the same way as if the memory happened to me in this life time.

Maybe if I tried viewing them like in past life regression the results may be different.

Hi Totoro.

Are you referring to non visual memories? Like just an instant knowing of unlearned knowledge that is validated?

If so I get them too but I tend to focus more on the viewed memories. They are really interesting in that I reexperience what happened from my perspective back then while also getting impressions from my 21st Century perspective on them.

The remembering of knowledge is different in that I just know what went down or display abilities I hadn't learned in my current life for what would be unexplainable reasons to someone who doesn't believe in reincarnation but I don't really catalogue them like I do my visual memories.

Very interesting conversation is going on here and thank you insearchof_1785 for sharing your story! Let me add my own experiences and thoughts about this phenomenon.

I've met my WWII German self as a "separate" person twice in dreams. The first time this happened when I wanted to quit my research, I got uncertain and had all kind of IRL issues too. It looked like this "meeting" with my PL self was urgent, because there was a chance I'd turn away from my beliefs in reincarnation altogether. In the dream, he came to me in a flat that I haven't been able to fully validate and I've never been there in my current life, but since I was able to look across the window, I got the feeling it was in Budapest and in a certain street that had connections to Raoul Wallenberg, the Jew saver Swedish diplomat (I only found out about this connection after the dream). My PL self wore plain clothes and not any of his uniforms. He told me he wanted to "engage" me and was glad he found me. At one point he removed his white shirt and showed me his back, which was full of severe wounds. Aftet I woke up, I got the feeling the scene was fully symbolic with the "engagement" between my past and present self (even though we have the same soul), and the wounds possibly meant spiritual ones what I have to heal in this life. The scene was obviously not something that happened in that life back in the 40s, but it looked like the location was real and was used for this meeting for whatever reason.

In the other dream, this German PL self of mine appeared in plain clothes again and in Budapest (this time I was 100% sure about the exact location too). He shared a short information with me that eventually - years later - turned out to be true. I didn't believe the shared information back then, but fortunately I eventually found validations too, so I accepted it. This dream was urgent too, because I went way too off with my research and a supposition that eventually turned out to be not true. I wasted endless time for years to validate something that didn't happen the way I thought it happened. But thanks to the dream, I could move on with my research.

I'm not sure what exactly had happened in these dreams and how this phenomenon works. I didn't relive past events and I saw my past self as a separate person who wanted to talk to me in locations that exist. But it's great to know similar spiritual "meetings" happen to others too!

I'm so glad that this has garnered so much discussion! I was curious as to what people would think when I shared my experience, and to know others have had similar experiences is awesome - it gives me more confidence that I'm not crazy haha. Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences! ^_^
