What if I were to intend, affirm, and declare?

TheDivineOne

Should've been born a girl...
I was kind of afraid to ask this but I was seriously wondering if anyone has a PLM of intending something for their next life and in their current life it ends up happening?

For example, if you were White, Black, or Asian in a previous incarnation, that incarnation you decided you wanted to be Hispanic or Mexican and then wound up being Hispanic or Mexican in this life...

Because I've recently decided to just keep adamantly affirming that I'll be born a girl in my next life, that I'm going to be the girl I've always wanted to be in this life and have spent my whole life (this life) dreaming of being. I actually have a specific image in mind as to what I want my female body to look like when I get into my teens and twenties and beyond and have been affirming and declaring that I will look like that and will until it gets ingrained into my subconscious mind, body, and soul.

I guess in a manifestation sense, I've also envisioned being a girl in that life like it's happening now, but I don't spend a whole lot of time doing that. Too many things I want to first achieve in the here and now.

Hi DO,

Long time, no see. I hope you have been doing well!

I don't really have much of an opinion in terms of your idea, especially as I am no longer totally on-board the reincarnation train these days. But I am sure that some others will chime in directly.

Cordially,
S&S

S&s, I don't think I totally knew your views, but it sounds like you changed your mind or shifted perspective? What's changed your mind?

Hi Totoro,

👍 I would like to answer your question but I don’t want to hijack DOs thread. I will start a new conversation as soon as I get a chance.

Cordially,
S&S

PS-DO, I hope you will participate as well. 👍

Okay, I guess.

Yeah, I actually didn't plan on coming back here again but this idea dawned on me and not long after that, I was curious as to if anyone else has done something similar. Because I'm really hoping if it'd yield the desired result.

It's one thing to wish for something but totally different to assume you already have it.

Hi Divine One. I like your name. : ) Thank you.

I'm not sure I understand the title of the thread compared to the question in the beginning.

Like maybe there's something else not being asked in your question?

But to answer you as true to my experience may be a disappointing reply. No, I haven't considered a future life as another gender or as having a different cultural upbringing.

If you want to end my reply here, that's fine. I also want to make a comment in general about manifestation, something I've seen discussed in spiritual communities, that people tend to lose sight of.

I think more important than worrying about an unknown future is moving with integrity within yourself now. Whatever that might look like for you. No one outside of yourself can tell you what that movement looks like. This way, it means integrating the desired 'manifestation.'

I think a problem with Western culture especially is "instant gratification." Like the recent surge of Ozempic drugs- not saying there are no benefits to medicine. But I am saying there is a common attitude of, "take a pill and forget the rest." Negating the hard won lessons that come with pursuing ones ideal.

Nature has a way of reminding us there are indeed elements to be worked through in order to manifest anything. And Spirit or Soul as a superior intelligence has a way of surprising us with new perspectives.

Lastly, please don't feel afraid to ask anything. I am grateful for community, forum participation, and thoughtful engagement. My advice, as someone who also works through their own fears, is to not fear disappointment.

Thank you for your lovely contribution. I hope you are able to commune with your heart in the desired manner ~

Hi, Cloud Potato. Thanks for your response.

Sorry to have created any confusion. I guess what I was asking was, if it's possible to affirm, now in this life, that I will be born female in my next life with my desired physical traits, and then I was asking in the OP if anyone remembers a past life where they affirmed or vowed for something in a future life and they got it in this one. For example, in one lifetime a Hispanic man named Pedro declares his next incarnation he'll be an Asian girl, Pedro dies years later, and he reincarnates as a girl born to Asian parents.

According to Buddhism, their general belief, as I understand it, is that whatever a person's frame of mind is at the time of death or shortly before their death has the greatest impact on their next incarnation. Of course none of this is confirmed though... and just so we're clear, I don't practice Buddhism... or any religion at all for that matter.

Additionally, I vaguely recall a story of an old lady who, shortly before she died, said that if reincarnation is real, she wanted to come back as a boy. After she died, she came back as a boy as she said she wanted.

I suppose in my case I'll have to keep affirming I'll have my desired female body.

Hi DO,

Sticking with your topic and not the one Totoro and I raised, I am answering based on what I know of current thought (findings?) in the realm of those who study reincarnation. My knowledge in this area is fairly extensive, but no more extensive than some others on the board. I will not delve into my reasons for doubting that reincarnation occurs as a relatively universal phenomenon, if at all, which is another subject altogether. I merely answer from my own fairly extensive studies of the literature, etc. I.e., I am "putting on my reincarnation hat" in order to respond to your question.

First, there seems to be a strong consensus in the reports and studies I have read that most if not all reincarnations require the consent of the one being reincarnated. There may be some exceptions to this rule, but from what I can tell, most of the reports require that the soul/spirit involved consent to, actively seek, or otherwise accede to the lifetime/incarnation in question. I don't recall any report that indicates that someone was "forced" against their will into a particular incarnation, though there may be some reports indicating a decision based on lack of other choices.

Second, there also seems to be very, very strong evidence for the fact that souls/spirits reincarnate principally as either a male or a female, at least in the West, with only about 1 or 2 in 10 incarnations being "cross-gender". This is one of the reasons that I believe in a gendered soul, which I think is strongly supported by the available "evidence".

Third, you have given every indication since you first posted on the board that your soul gender is female and/or that you cannot and will not be content in any other form/role. You have reinforced this conclusion in every post you have ever made here, over a period of years.

So, putting the foregoing together I conclude that:

(A) your current incarnation is the rare exception (i.e., a cross-gender incarnation) that takes place for one reason or another from time-to-time, and that you are statistically extremely unlikely to be presented with another option of this type for awhile, if at all; and

(B) given your extreme and vehement rejection of being male and your equally strong desire to be female, you would (if given the option for a male lifetime) not only refuse, but respond with whatever the spiritual equivalent would be of "HELL NO!" if not with something even more definite and unyielding; and

(C) not only do the foregoing factors seem to guarantee by themselves, under currently accepted notions related to reincarnation in scholarly circles, that you will by no means return as anything other than a female, but your continued adamant and vehement affirmations of your intention to be female next time around seem calculated to fix firmly in your mind and soul for all time the fact that you do not, for any reasons whatsoever, intend to ever accept anything other than a female incarnation going forward.

Once again, the foregoing is set forth based on my own readings and study in this area as opposed to my current concerns overall about whether reincarnation takes place more than rarely (if at all). Frankly, having read so many reports over the years, both from posters on the board and elsewhere, I think that your case fits into a pattern that I have seen in a number of gender switches. This pattern is characterized by a gender switch following a death (sometimes horrible) that might be considered to be related to the prior lifetime's gender. I.e., I have read a lot of cases where someone who is currently female recalls a wartime death as a male (and because of being male soldier/combatant). I have likewise seen a few where someone currently male recalls dying as a female in a disturbing manner, and seemingly became male in order to avoid such a death in the future.

The death you have reported seemed to me to be related to something that was criminal in nature taking place. I suspect that you chose a male life in order to feel more secure against such a death going forward and/or (as some do) to better position yourself to search out your killers or others like them and maybe even see that they were brought to justice. However, this is just a suspicion or notion of mine, I can by no means guarantee that it is correct. And, you would be totally correct in concluding that it is merely guesswork on my part.

Cordially,
S&S

PS--If my suspicions are correct, I doubt you realized how unhappy your choice would make you. But, once again, this is not a choice you seem likely at all to make, be presented with, or accept in the future.
PPS--OK, I am now taking off my "Reincarnation Hat". ;)

I think that all the choices about a reincarnation are made at another level than by one's previous incarnation. So, what you wish now might be irrelevant, because you aren't only this you that are awake alive.

It might be like when a kid wishes to become an astronaut, but then as he grows he changes what he wishes.

If you want to experience how it feels as a woman, you can regress to one of your woman past incarnations, you can project into the personality of a particular woman, you can also use other altered states of consciousness to get such experiences. You can lucid dream and ask to experience being a woman.

To me, it is more important to form a credible hypothesis for what I am here to do in this incarnation, and do it.

I think that the most trustworthy answers you can get come only from your inner guidance, while you put aside all your current knowledge, beliefs, wishes, while being aware that everything you get is symbolical, subjective, and inherently distorted, but that it has a basis.

EDIT — requires an intuitive interpretation from you.

There is a concept that "you create your own reality", which I believe it is misunderstood. You indeed create your reality, the reality you perceive, but it isn't this awake alive you that does that, no matter its wishes and choices. The creator is a "larger" you, that encompasses this you, and that always creates a reality that reflects itself, its current level of evolvement and of being. The whole experience that you create and perceive reflects what you currently are.

Regardless of all thoughts or opinions about it, all we have and can control is our present.

For the overwhelming most part, life is simply cycles of action / reaction that we can learn to break by moving onto cycles of action / inaction, as I explored in this post and nobody makes anyone do anything they don't want to. However, where guidance steps in is when souls get stuck in cycles of avoidance or repeated, negative harmful behaviors and nobody is forced to listen or participate in those lessons either.

The only conclusion that any single one of us can draw is that we were meant to be here, right now and the best way to focus on having the best next life that you want is to slow down and try and understand the lessons that are trying to be explained to you and live your best life now.

I could have swore myself, that there was no way I chose to be a guy in this life and I was very bitter about it for a long time and then one day I looked back on my life and I realized that there was no way I didn't choose to be male. Afterall, it's just one life out of many and when I realized all the wonderful things that have happened so far and the many things yet to come, I wouldn't want to miss a minute of it. Wearing dresses can wait until the next one or the one after for all I care. Life here and over there is much, much bigger that the temporary costume we choose to wear while we're here.

I won't try to convince you of my point of view, but I will say that the key to life is meeting every challenge with grace, humility and determination. You'll never realize how high that next step really is if you don't put your foot on it, take a step up and look around.

What are some things you can do for you right now, to make your life better that don't depend on your gender?

I'll say this: I remember making that claim to have remembered that the end to my previous life as a woman being criminal in nature but to be honest I'm no more certain that that is the case than anyone can guarantee that I will be born a girl in my next life. I never actually had gone to see a licensed past-life regression specialist. I had that vision on a whim. For all I know my mind might have seen what it wanted to see because I was so desperate for answers at that time. Not saying for certain that that's NOT what actually happened, just that I don't know it actually happened.

Uh, yeah. That advice (the stuff I boldfaced in your response) isn't going to work for me. I mean, on one hand I get what you're saying (with regards to the child deciding upon wanting to be an astronaut analogy, and even with that, you know some kids actually do decide on their desired career choice and end up sticking with it) but you have to understand something: I've wanted to be a girl since I was barely old enough to notice that there were two separate genders.

Then since about 2 decades ago I was introduced to the idea of reincarnation by being told, "Maybe you'll be a girl in the next life," that's been almost all that's ever mattered to me.

Why would a desire lasting this many years, a person's entire life, basically, be this strong that reincarnation is the only thing that could solve it? The desire MUST be something ingrained in the desirer's soul. It's not me as a human wanting this so badly; it's me as a soul wanting a life as a human female, from birth through childhood through adulthood and so on. I don't care if I was a woman in previous incarnations. All that matters now is transitioning in this life and being a biological female in my immediate next life after this.

So no. I don't want to just "experience how it feels to be a woman"; I want what I was robbed of in this life; to actually BE a woman. Regressing to a past life as a woman, projecting into the personality of one, and lucid dreams aren't going to satisfy such a desire. Reincarnation into a female body will.

I will give you this though: if you'd asked me a little less than a decade ago, I'd have told you I wanted to be a half-Black half-Asian girl. I'm a little less interested in that now and will just stick with my preference of just being a Black girl. That's not to say that if I were to come back as the half-Black half-Asian girl it would upset or anger me. No, of course not. But my desire to be Black again but this time a biological female takes a greater precedence. So you see, the base desire of being a girl is still the same and ultimately unchanged. You can see that now, right?

Hi DO,

Donning my reincarnation hat once again, and from that standpoint, I still consider that the points I set forth as (A), (B), and (C), above, are valid and applicable.

Cordially,
S&S

PS--Best Wishes for a Happy Future in this life and hereafter, and may the Good Lord Bless and Keep You!
