Hi DO,
Sticking with your topic and not the one Totoro and I raised, I am answering based on what I know of current thought (findings?) in the realm of those who study reincarnation. My knowledge in this area is fairly extensive, but no more extensive than some others on the board. I will not delve into my reasons for doubting that reincarnation occurs as a relatively universal phenomenon, if at all, which is another subject altogether. I merely answer from my own fairly extensive studies of the literature, etc. I.e., I am "putting on my reincarnation hat" in order to respond to your question.
First, there seems to be a strong consensus in the reports and studies I have read that most if not all reincarnations require the consent of the one being reincarnated. There may be some exceptions to this rule, but from what I can tell, most of the reports require that the soul/spirit involved consent to, actively seek, or otherwise accede to the lifetime/incarnation in question. I don't recall any report that indicates that someone was "forced" against their will into a particular incarnation, though there may be some reports indicating a decision based on lack of other choices.
Second, there also seems to be very, very strong evidence for the fact that souls/spirits reincarnate principally as either a male or a female, at least in the West, with only about 1 or 2 in 10 incarnations being "cross-gender". This is one of the reasons that I believe in a gendered soul, which I think is strongly supported by the available "evidence".
Third, you have given every indication since you first posted on the board that your soul gender is female and/or that you cannot and will not be content in any other form/role. You have reinforced this conclusion in every post you have ever made here, over a period of years.
So, putting the foregoing together I conclude that:
(A) your current incarnation is the rare exception (i.e., a cross-gender incarnation) that takes place for one reason or another from time-to-time, and that you are statistically extremely unlikely to be presented with another option of this type for awhile, if at all; and
(B) given your extreme and vehement rejection of being male and your equally strong desire to be female, you would (if given the option for a male lifetime) not only refuse, but respond with whatever the spiritual equivalent would be of "HELL NO!" if not with something even more definite and unyielding; and
(C) not only do the foregoing factors seem to guarantee by themselves, under currently accepted notions related to reincarnation in scholarly circles, that you will by no means return as anything other than a female, but your continued adamant and vehement affirmations of your intention to be female next time around seem calculated to fix firmly in your mind and soul for all time the fact that you do not, for any reasons whatsoever, intend to ever accept anything other than a female incarnation going forward.
Once again, the foregoing is set forth based on my own readings and study in this area as opposed to my current concerns overall about whether reincarnation takes place more than rarely (if at all). Frankly, having read so many reports over the years, both from posters on the board and elsewhere, I think that your case fits into a pattern that I have seen in a number of gender switches. This pattern is characterized by a gender switch following a death (sometimes horrible) that might be considered to be related to the prior lifetime's gender. I.e., I have read a lot of cases where someone who is currently female recalls a wartime death as a male (and because of being male soldier/combatant). I have likewise seen a few where someone currently male recalls dying as a female in a disturbing manner, and seemingly became male in order to avoid such a death in the future.
The death you have reported seemed to me to be related to something that was criminal in nature taking place. I suspect that you chose a male life in order to feel more secure against such a death going forward and/or (as some do) to better position yourself to search out your killers or others like them and maybe even see that they were brought to justice. However, this is just a suspicion or notion of mine, I can by no means guarantee that it is correct. And, you would be totally correct in concluding that it is merely guesswork on my part.
Cordially,
S&S
PS--If my suspicions are correct, I doubt you realized how unhappy your choice would make you. But, once again, this is not a choice you seem likely at all to make, be presented with, or accept in the future.
PPS--OK, I am now taking off my "Reincarnation Hat".
